Past tokens, coins & currencies are exhibited. Other countries old currencies are also there. The windows and doors of this 1700's building is interesting. On Sunday it's open from 2 to 4 p.m. no entrance fees.

Florentino the curator/guide was fantastic. I learned so much about the history of Mozambique via changes to its money. This museum is by far one of the best in Maputo.
MZN 50 for foreigners.

The museum is nice and the exhibition seems well organized, however some of the halls have poor lighting, which makes the experience less enjoyable. Also, I recall the closing time is a bit too early and I had to leave the museum before I could really see everything...

Tells the story of Mozambique money. Quite interesting. The guide needs to be more active, in order to engage the visitors.

If you are in Maputo then the Money museum is a must visit. Weekends are the best time to visit. Parking may be a challenge.
