Very big and impressive museum, both the building as the contents and setup were really well done, I also didn’t feel like I had to run in circles or go out of my way to find a logical route despite it having several floors and staircases. They also have a very nice bathroom and free water. Very educational and fun to do!

Most items have no English explanation. There's not much to see in there. Walking outside is a much better way to learn about Girona. Go to The Cinema Museum instead.

Very informative and thorough description of the history of Girona - from the Middle Ages to post World War II. Make sure to use the plastic papers with the descriptions of each section at the beginning of each floor - as the majority of objects don't have English translation! The free audio guide was super useful as well. Overall a very good experience!

A museum is a place one goes to learn new things. In this one everything is only in Catalan so must of what is displayed remains a mystery. Also: for a city with so much history as Girona one would expect a bit more than a couple of Roman busts and a few medieval garments. Walk around the city, it’s way better…

Such a pity that the exhibits lack a description in English... Unfortunately, it isn't the first time that we encounter this in Cataluña. As it is, it is difficult to appreciate what one sees. Nevertheless, it is worth the entrance fee and some of the exhibits (especially in the medieval area) are really interesting.

Lovely modern museum which teaches you loads about Girona. Don’t know what previous commenters are complaining about when there are translation sheets for quite a few languages in each section? We enjoyed it would recommend you go there.

Well worth a visit, much larger inside than what it appears to be from the outside. Very interesting, informative and educational.

Museum only for Spanish/Catalan visitors. There are english briefs abot city history (you can read such things in wikipedia) but all exhibits, objects, photos etc. comments are in Spanish. You walk and have no idea what you see. Random objects. Very pity, exhibition rooms look interesting.
