Great museum to learn about the culture and history of cod fishing in Portugal. The museum is well laid out and accessible for all ages. We really enjoyed the exhibits and the live fish aquarium was a great end to the visit.

Great museum about the maritime history. My itinerary was unfortunately too short for he to experience the full guided tour. The guide warned us that his English might not be the best but that was unnecessary.

Wheelchair accessible. Offers a great view into old Portuguese fishing traditions, very very Nice tour. Took me 2 hours. Has a library with Portuguese books that are referenced throughout the tour.

You can learn a lot about bacalhau! Unfortunately, the explanations are only in Portuguese.

Why is it so difficult for the Portuguese to translate things in English? Portugal received a lot of money from Europe, so they could show their gratitude to the countries from which the money came by increasing accessibility in their musea etc. (Teach the youth English so they have more opportunities... Why does Portugal hold on to "only Portuguese"?) The app isn't a solution if there's no Wi-Fi. Despite this, it's a beautiful museum! Must do.

Interesting museu. You can walk into the ship ! However, there is no explanations in English on the walls, you can buy a book with explanations or download an application to have access to it.
