The WW2 experience at Dunkirk is not widely known in the United States and it is one of the most amazing stories of the War. Being able to visit this museum and learn more about the operation to evacuated more than 300,000 Allied troops from off the coast of northern France was amazing. The artifacts of weapons, supplies, and uniforms were incredible to see. The scale models that demonstrate where the sea lift occurred were also awesome to see. I highly recommend visiting this museum!

What a lovely, clean, and well-presented museum. The displays are clear, the exhibits are of real quality, and the supplementary information is well written and highly informative. The museum follows the modern style of presentation that many institutions are moving towards, but what truly sets it apart is the lighting. Unlike so many museums that are overly dim, this one is perfectly lit with warm, bright lighting that makes every exhibit easy to see. The effect is both inviting and engaging, creating an atmosphere that encourages you to take your time and really absorb the experience.

We thought this was a great little museum! Obviously not as big and flash as a museum in a major city but we learned loads about Operation Dynamo, lots of nice artefacts and everything written in both English & French so easy to follow. Easy to get round in about an hour/hour and a half and they have toilets. Good value especially with the couples ticket. Would recommend

A fantastic insight into the history of Operation Dynamo. A reminder to the sacrifice that was made for our longstanding freedom. Worth visiting and keeping the memory alive. Cheap to enter.

This modest but fascinating museum is ideal for WW2 nuts and gun fans, also logistical exhibits such as ammo and mortar shell boxes. For 2025 it's so cheap for admission, maybe that's a good marketing ploy as it encourages extra spending in the shop. No cafe but hey it's France, so there are many nearby. Wonderful photographs on display and a few real relics dug up from under the sand. Even my small children loved it, really glad we went there. Parking's dead easy too - and free.

Fantastic museum, small but jam packed full of information and artifacts. Information boards written in French and English and presented in easy to follow formats. Plenty of artifacts from uniforms and weapons to parts of tanks. The dioramas and maps of the operation were really interesting and with the museum being so close to the beach it made it a lot easier to visualise the extent of it. For €10 you can get a joint ticket to both here and Fort des Dunes.

Lovely museum, extremely informative and very well presented in a 19th century, preserved bunker. Excellent layout, lovely staff and great displays with some very poignant items. Completely wheelchair accessible with no issues whatsoever. Well worth a visit.

Yelp
This was a very nice museum. I really enjoyed the exhibit here. Before coming, i read that the museum had been closed and renovated. If that's true, they did a wonderful job. The rooms are layers out in a timeline. The very first thing you see is a video that goes over the battle at Dunkirk. You then move on to learn about the civilians, life during the war, and Dunkirk's place in all of that. There are a lot of artifacts and memorabilia. There is a very well done model of some of the shops involved in the rescue. And there is a lot to read! You can easily spend a good hour learning about this important piece of history. I highly recommend a visit.
