Schlossmusem Linz has always some lovely and exciting exhibitions for both children and adults. Wildreich is a fantastic show for the little ones.

If you have enough time in Graz, you should visit that museum. It is right next to the Graz Museum. 4.50 € for students. Don't forget to get the guidebook in English from the ticket office for exhibition section!

A gem for history lovers, very nice collection. Lots of objects representing the history of Styria. I saw comments saying that the English translation is insufficient but I didn't face any language issues. Schaudepot and 100x Steiermark were completely translated. Only a small part at the end was not translated.

Very few descriptions! You should pick up the english guideboom and read simultaneously. Very awkward and not pleasant. Anyway you may find some interesting information in it and the price is okay. 1 hour visit should be enough for the main exhibition. Locker, toilets are available Interesting facts: Is is believed the rejection of horses as transport started after a bad harvest years, when feeding become expensive. Napoleon soldiers had spoons in their helmets, it was the noblemen that had diversity of food and started to need more catering.

Interesting museum, but not for non-German speaking persons. Generally, I hate to have translation in hand instead of texts on the wall. Therefore, I couldn't enjoy exhibitions that otherwise seemed to be interesting. And nets instead of glass on showcases???

Not a history museum in the traditional sense of telling stories. Instead they have huge collections of well-maintained and well-displayed historical items. These include things like dishes, furniture, clocks, beer steins, and so much more. Be sure to note the ceiling in the stairway - it's gorgeous. There was also an exhibit of photographs of the role of women in the 20th century but that might be a temporary exhibit. The museum wasn't what I expected but I very much enjoyed my visit.

The museum itself would be 5 stars for the quality of the artefacts it contains, but unfortunately my rating suffers from the fact that the administration has not made the slightest effort to make it accessible to those who do not speak the German language. A real shame, because it would have a lot of potential. It is not required to have every language in the world, but at least English would have been appropriate.
