It’s a colonial building built in the 1800s , it’s been refurbished reasonably well , location is quite central Great for those who wants to feel the colonial era . This breakfast is an ala carte selection ,only properly 5 to 6 items to choose from , but the food is good , do take note , the coffee payable if you order a latte or something else instead of their normal pot coffee given .
1. The pool is just a small pond , misleading for a swimming pool 2. Qi Lin room , its like a duplex where the rooms are on the 2nd level , entrance on the first level , the staircase have very sharp edges , can get cut easily , you will have issue to carry up and down your luggage , and not recommended for kids below 7 or people who have issues on stairs climbing especially with luggage , accident prone on the staircase and the low ledge , that could ruined your holiday . 3. While we were reminded to check put before 12.30pm , as a family with 3 young kids , understandable that we may encounter some delays , at 12.30pm , the staff was barking us more than once to vacate the premises , and at 12.51pm when i checkout , they Charged us 20 dollars for 20 minutes , after staying 4 days and 3 nights in the premise , this leave a bad taste , the feeling that we are being chased out after we are no longer a guest is an unpleasant ending experience after a wonderful visit in Penang , I was planning to tip the staff for more than the meagre surcharge. , that made me changed my mind . 4.The car park is just an open air area very limited lots . 5. Part of the lobby was undergoing repairs for the wooden piling , and the part was barricaded , the thing is , if I knew this was happening , i will not have chosen this place for my stay in Penang , premise should be forthcoming to informed guest on This matter . More suitable for couples or singles , not a place to stay for a family retreat .
