This is an interesting museum where you can enjoy the history of Majapahit. The collection of objects is well preserved, with additional brief historical information in English and Indonesian. However, some of the items appear to be poorly maintained. Hopefully, in the future, many of the collectibles will receive extra care, both in the outdoor and indoor areas. Regarding the description and explanation of each object in the collection, hopefully, more items will have them in the future, as many currently do not. This museum brings back good memories for me about Mojokerto and the Majapahit Kingdom, which I could only read about in books, when I was little. 🧚🏻

It is really good to know about the history in details. Place is nice, but a bit hot the outside area, but there are aircon inside the building. It will be better if they can improve the toilet, wastafel was not working. Bought the museum + candi bajang ratu and candi tikus ticket, it cost 15.000/pax.

Right on my 47th birthday, I visited this museum, because this museum was on my bucket list. It feels embarrassing as an Indonesian if you have never visited important locations related to the great history of the Indonesian nation in the past. I will visit this museum again in the future, because I am still not satisfied with learning the history of the Great Kingdom of Majapahit. I highly recommend this museum.

Indonesia has a very extraordinary history, Majapahit is one of the kingdoms that succeeded in uniting the entire archipelago which is now known as Indonesia. This museum tells how the people of Majapahit in ancient times lived, worshiped, studied, prayed, built houses and so on. I'm very happy to be here and tell the history of ancient times to our children and grandchildren so that it continues to be known and sustainable so that history will not be forgotten

I'd recommend several fixings, including: 1. There were tons of unnamed scripting, stone relief, even statues 2. That explanatory board above or beside the collections some of em deffo needs an English translation, p.s. and it could've been simple by design, as the current were too brightly colored and redundant by its content 3. Rejuvenations on its facilities, including its building could be beneficial, so the whole museum experience can be a lot more pleasant

***A Brief about Majapahit Empire*** Majapahit Empire is the greatest empire in Indonesia history. This Hindu-Buddha based-empire named after a bitter fruit called maja, established by Raden Wijaya in 1293 with Trowulan a region in East Java become its capital city and center of government. The formation of this empire had marked the end of civil wars of power struggles between Singhasari and Kediri Kingdom. The golden period of Majapahit Empire was in 1350-1389 at the moment its ruled by Raja Hayam Wuruk with Mahapatih Gajah Mada on his side. Majapahit Empire borned two masterpieces which become symbol of power and legitimation in Indonesia until nowadays including Sumpah Palapa spoken by Mahapatih Gajah Mada and Bhineka Tunggal Ika written in Sutasoma Inscription by Mpu Tantular. Both of it are boils down to one visionary dream promising to expand the territory of Majapahit Empire, reigning and uniting over many parts of islands including Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Celebes, Maluku, Papua, even Philippines Archipelagoes and then named it as Nusantara which later be the foundation of Indonesia. Majapahit Empire fell in 1527 caused of Perang Paregreg means civil wars of internal power struggles and war facing Demak Sultanate as part of Malacca Sultanate which aimed power transition converting Java from Hindu-Buddha to Islam. After defeated, most of the ruler of this empire were moved to Bali, the throne were moved to Demak ruled by Raden Fatah as the sultan. This had left Trowulan as an abandoned empty land which now become a mysterious historical mega-site of never ending exploration. ***A Brief about Museum of Majapahit*** Museum of Majapahit built in 1924-1926 by the initiative collaboration between Mojokerto Regent R.A.A Kromodjojo Adinegoro and Holland Architect Ir. Henry McLine Pont. The name was once Oudheeidkundhige Vereeneging Majapahit (OVM) become home for communities who is interested in research of Majapahit Empire legacy. There are thousands of Majapahit Empire artifacts founded along their research's excavation such as stones, metal, clays, ceramics, etc so that they decided to build a museum and named it as Museum of Majapahit. Nowadays this museum is still exist and more familiar to be called Museum of Trowulan which presents all of its empire's collections. This is the place for anyone who is willing to learn or just having nostalgia of the greatness of the empire which formed Indonesia through all its well-preserved remains.

Excellent museum for a quick introduction to the Majapahit world. More explanatory material in English would have been appreciated.
