This ethological and archaeological museum is a hidden gem with outstanding artefacts. Amazing ceramic collection and loving the tethering stones.

Great free museum of regional archeological findings. Surprisingly well-done, with thorough explanations and labelings in both Spanish and English. It's right by the trail to Cerrito San Bernardino, so it makes sense to visit here just before. Almost empty; I was the only visitor.

Great museums with displays in multiple languages, Braille also. Not free anymore, it’s 6000 pesos, cannot be it’s card as well

A free museum exposing and explaining the remain of the civilisation before colonialism. Not incredible but can be done in 30 min before/after the hike to the cerro. It s free so no regret.

Outstanding! Not large but a wonderful collection of artifacts beautifully displayed. A lot of the signage had English translations. Had no trouble understanding the few that weren’t. Shouldn’t be missed if you’re in Salta.

I was really impressed with this anthropology museum. Very interesting, well displayed, and the ground floor exhibits all had detailed information in 5 languages: Spanish, 3 indigenous languages, and English.

Free. You get what you pay for. Don't make a special trip to see it, but worth a stop in if you are nearby for other reasons.
