Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

The museum displays various historical items from the Bronze Age, the Medieval period, and more. Admission is completely free! However, the institution was small and filled with the noise of workers talking. The place is often windy. In fact, it is open until 7 p.m. 👐🏻

While there are some interesting objects in this small museum, my visit was a little strange. I was the only visitor at the time and one or other of the two young attendants stood about 30cm behind me the whole time, just hanging there. It was a bit hard to concentrate on the exhibits with your own live shadow standing so close reflected in the glass! I would've stayed longer if I had a chance to be alone

As a researcher and archeologue I tried several times to visit this Museum, but it was allways closed without explanations, neither contacts. I returned from Baku frustrated.

Closed for restoration. Visited on 19 sep 2025.

Closed and no idea when it will be open… Tourists like me are excited to see and know more.. Hope the management will open it as soon s possible…
