This is a very worthwhile place to visit when you are in Dijon. Great exhibits, free to enter, street parking. Restrooms. Authentic period items and recreations of 19th c shops, plus lots of other things that take you back to earlier times in the area. Have Fun!

A fantastic museum of the history of the city of Dijon, a wonderful collection of memorabilia, period costumes, home life displays, posters, furniture, tools, kitchen equipment, trains, photography and the history of local biscuit and sweets making.. this is a terrific gallery, rich with the small things that shaped the culture, personality, people and vibe of this great city.. A great exhibition, a memorable experience. Please make time for this visit. 1 hour. Entree is free.

Quite nice musee, the tickets are free. The fiest floor it’s about old ways to make butter, cheese, warming house and other stuff. The second floor it’s more interesting, you can see old stores, replica, about furs, pharmacy, biscuits (intersitng) and others. I

A wonderful museum dedicated to the history of the region, absolutely worth a visit at least for seeing the old shop windows and advertisement posters of the past. Very friendly and proactive staff. Not many translations to English throughout the exhibitions, though.

There a lot of displays of the old shops, from pharmacy to sweets, butchers, furrier, biscuits. The history of the daily life is well laid out and described. Definitely worth the time to visit - and it’s free!

Excellent museum in Dijon. You need around 1h to quickly see all the exhibits. The exhibits are really beautiful and the highlight is the re-enactment of old stores of the city with authentic design and materials We were disappointed by the lack of English descriptions for the exhibits. We visited over a weekday and it was not so crowded. Short walk from the city center.

If you visit 1 museum in Dijon, let it be this one! You will learn about the life of olden-day Burgundians through visually engaging ways. A lot of thought and care has been put into the curation of this museum and I enjoyed myself completely. It is also suitable for children.
