A few types of crosses, church equipments, old paintings, and other art works are displayed here. The entry fee is ₹100 per head which is a little on the higher side considering the small number of art displays here. The displays are very beautifully arranged and are mostly donated by the members of the community. Other than the members from the Christian community, people may not be interested to see these art displays, that too with such high entry fees!

Trust ur I.

The Museum of Christian Art in Goa was established in 1994. It was originally set up at the Rachol Seminary before being relocated to the Convent of Santa Monica in Velha Goa in 2002. The museum is the first of its kind in Asia and was founded by INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage) with assistance from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation of Portugal, under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Goa. Photography is not allowed and there is little worth seeing here. Best skipped

Such a gem of a place! Strolling through this beautiful museum is like travelling through time in Goa. Wonderfully presented and housing so many gems, it’s a definite recommendation for anyone visiting Goa. So heartening to see that so many pieces here were gifted so others can also enjoy them. The Museum also holds many interesting talks, presentations, music performances, quizzes, workshops for all age groups, etc., making it a great spot for locals to also keep coming back to. (Didn’t want to add more pictures here, since you should experience it yourself!)

We were visiting St. Augustine's tower when we chanced upon MoCA. Being a total nerd, we went it and I'm glad we did. It's well maintained, has clean restrooms and a little cafe. The best attraction was the main altar and the viewing gallery. It was quite unique to see the mix of culture and art of different worlds. 10/10 would recommend.

Better than expected! Very well done - modern, neat, well-maintained, air-conditioned with the right amount of explanations. Friendly staff, nice small café just in front of it; clean toilets. Wheelchair accessible. Worth a 30-45 minute visit if you're in Old Goa.

It is a project of the Archdiocese of Goa and was set up with technical and financial assistance from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Portugal and the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), New Delhi. Earlier, it was located at the Seminary of Rachol, Salcete, Goa. The museum which was initially set up to display these unique works of art, evolved over the years into a space focused on creating awareness on conservation and restoration of art and architecture through various activities and collaborations. Noteworthy among these are the restoration of the 17th. century, State protected monument, The Church of Santa Monica and conservation of the museum's collection.

Beautiful place to spend 45 minutes here without wait. Visited on weekends on New year no crowd only 2 to 4 people's are there you can spend very calmly around 1 hour in the museum, cafe area is available at the gate. There is electronic and normal wheel-chair is available inside the premises, place is very quiet and cool. I recommend visit atleast once near to St. Augustine 🗼 tower. Entry ticket 🎫🎟️ is 100 INR per person . Photography is not banned if you are taken pics of articals with you can't take pics of yourself and your friend in that place.
