MOCA Bangkok is officially my new favorite place in Bangkok. I honestly didn’t expect to love it this much. The art is extraordinary, the kind you can get completely lost in for hours. There are five floors, and each one feels different, so you’re constantly discovering something new. It’s super inspiring and genuinely gives that New York or London gallery vibe. I went in the morning and it was really calm, not busy at all, which made the experience even better. You can take your time, wander, think, and just enjoy being surrounded by great art. Also, a big bonus: you don’t even need to buy a ticket if you just want to grab a coffee or something to eat at the café. It’s a nice place to hang out even without doing the full museum visit. If you’re into art at all, this is a must-visit in Bangkok.

This museum is absolutely amazing — very spacious and well-designed. I really enjoyed it. There is a wide range of unique Thai and Asian artworks, from small delicate pieces to large-scale installations. Every detail is beautiful and incredibly intricate. The only downside for me was that I arrived around 3 PM, which felt a bit rushed and not enough time to fully appreciate everything. I would highly recommend visiting from around noon or earlier so you can really take your time and enjoy the art properly

Worth the ticket and reserving a few slow hours if you enjoy art. 5 floors of fantastic collections, ranging from traditional to local contemporary, and even international pieces. I visited with my 15 month old child in a stroller, and was thankfully able to still enjoy with the access of elevators and the calm environment helped her sleep. There is a decent cafe with food on the ground floor and a garden for relaxation.

You will discover beautiful art spread across six floors of this museum. It is recommended to allocate at least two hours to fully enjoy your visit. The museum features intriguing paintings and sculptures created by Thai artists. After exploring, consider visiting the café. The best way to reach the museum is by using Grab. There is also a designated area to store your belongings if needed, and they accept credit card payments.

I visited MOCA Bangkok on a weekday and had a really great experience. There was no waiting time at all, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The entrance fee was around 300 baht (if I remember correctly), and it was definitely worth it. The collection is impressive — a wonderful mix of contemporary Thai and international artworks. I could take my time and really enjoy every piece. The museum itself is very comfortable, clean, and well-designed. There are plenty of chairs around, so if you get tired walking through the galleries, you can easily sit down and rest for a while. There’s also a museum store where you can buy some nice merchandise and souvenirs, and a café where you can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee after exploring. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a few quiet hours appreciating art. Highly recommended if you’re in Bangkok and love modern art!

An absolute must-visit on your trip to Bangkok, especially if you love psychedelic, visionary art (like Alex Grey). I spent about 6 hours in here and saw every single piece of art. The stuff on the first 3 levels is the best, in my opinion. These are the most finely detailed, colorful, psychedelic. Much of this art looks like something I would only see at a music festival in the USA, except even better. Some of it I couldn’t believe is from as far back as the 80s.

I have visited MOCA Bangkok many times, and it continues to impress me every single time. The scale and quality of the collection are outstanding, with exhibitions that are thoughtful, powerful and deeply symbolic, offering a profound insight into contemporary Thai art. The museum’s calm, beautifully designed space encourages slow and focused viewing. A place I always return to.

An absolutely amazing museum. It has 5 levels; make sure to look briefly at each level first to decide how you want to prioritize - it is huge. We liked the levels 5, 3, and 1; in this exact order. The level 5 has some amazing modern photography art. The staff was very caurteous, starting from the security outside, ticket office, and gallery attendants. Not overrun by tourists in the beginning of February.
