I have visited the Museum of Contemporary Art multiple times, and each visit leaves me inspired in a new way. The most recent exhibition truly impressed me, thoughtfully curated, visually captivating, and rich in creativity. Every room offers something unique, sparking curiosity and emotion. The space itself is beautifully maintained, and the way the artworks are presented allows you to immerse yourself fully in the experience. It’s always a pleasure to return here, as the museum consistently delivers engaging and thought-provoking exhibitions. A true cultural gem for art lovers, and a place where inspiration never runs out. * All works are protected by copyright (Museum and artists)

Very pleasant art space with quality art on display. Can be seen comfortably in 1-2 hours. A modest entry fee applies. Put your bags in a free locker near the entrance. The architecture of the building is interesting too.

This is my second time visiting this museum. Was impressed by the exhibitions, the setting and the amazing building and views. One less star for the particularly unprofessional attitude of one of the security guards

During our recent trip to Belgrade, we stopped by the Museum of Contemporary Art — and to be honest, it’s hard for me to stay objective, since this is hands down my favorite museum in the city. The building itself is a masterpiece of 1960s modernist architecture, its sharp geometric forms design filled with glass makes the space very open and alive. Nestled in Ušće Park, with river views and a sculpture garden out front, it’s already a vibe before you even step inside. We caught the Ana Vidjen exhibition during our visit — powerful work, nicely curated. So whether you're into art, architecture, or just looking for a quiet and inspiring spot in the city, this place is a must!

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade (Muzej savremene umetnosti Beograd – MSUB) is one of the leading cultural institutions in Serbia, dedicated to modern and contemporary art. Founded in 1958 and housed in a striking modernist building since 1965, it was one of the first museums in Europe focused exclusively on contemporary art. Its unique geometric structure, designed by Ivan Antić and Ivanka Raspopović, is located at Ušće, where the Sava and Danube rivers meet, making it a landmark of Belgrade. The museum’s collection includes over 8,000 works from the 20th and 21st centuries, featuring prominent Yugoslav, Serbian, and international artists. It showcases works by Marina Abramović, Petar Lubarda, Dušan Džamonja, and other influential figures. In 2019, Abramović’s retrospective "The Cleaner" was one of the museum’s most visited exhibitions, drawing global attention. In addition to its permanent collection, MSUB regularly hosts international exhibitions, film screenings, and experimental art performances, making it a vibrant cultural hub. Its location in Ušće Park provides a stunning view of the city, attracting both art lovers and casual visitors alike. Entrance to the museum costs 600 RSD (~ 5€) for most settings. In the museum, there is a wardrobe, toilet, a seating area and sales of brochures and souvenirs.

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade is a striking fusion of visionary architecture and cultural dynamism. Situated in Ušće Park, where the Sava and Danube rivers converge, its geometric glass-and-concrete structure—dubbed the “crystal at the confluence”—commands attention with its bold modernist design. Architects Ivan Antić and Ivanka Raspopović crafted this 1965 masterpiece to harmonize with its verdant surroundings, featuring cascading cubes and skylights that flood the interior with natural light, creating an almost ethereal ambiance for art exploration. The museum’s allure extends beyond its walls. Sculptures by iconic 20th-century Yugoslav artists dot the lawns, blending art with nature and inviting visitors to wander through an open-air gallery. Inside, the collections are equally captivating, spanning over 35,000 works from Serbian and Balkan modernists like Sava Šumanović. Rotating exhibitions, like the acclaimed "Sequences" retrospective or Erwin Wurm’s immersive installations, ensure fresh perspectives with every visit. Accessibility is seamless, with the museum nestled in New Belgrade’s well-connected urban grid. Public transport links, including buses and trams, make it a hassle-free destination for both locals and travelers. Whether you’re drawn to avant-garde art, architectural innovation, or tranquil riverside strolls, this museum is an unmissable cultural beacon—a testament to Belgrade’s thriving creative pulse.
