The Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje is situated on a hill near the city’s medieval fortress, offering panoramic views of Skopje from all directions—including the east, west, and the south-facing Vodno Mountain.
This modernist landmark was built following the 1963 earthquake as part of the city’s architectural revival and stands today as a symbol of Skopje’s modern identity. Designed by prominent architects, the museum features a clean, elegant design, abundant natural light from both its sides and rooftop, and a thoughtful integration with the surrounding landscape.
The museum regularly hosts a range of cultural events, from contemporary art exhibitions to musical and community gatherings. Most recently, it was the venue for the charter celebration of the newest Rotary Club in the city—Rotary Club Skopje Kamen Most.
