Museum of Glass MOSER

We went on the English tour and it was fascinating! We got to see the workers blowing and shaping hot glass into a vase. Our guide was great, offering interesting explanations to our group of 15. The tour ended with a 15-minute video about the interesting history of the Moser family. Highly recommend!

The guide was excellent (speaking great English). The tour took us through the factory and on to the museum. Leaving you free to browse the retail outlet if you were interested.

The Moser Museum where you must to visit when you come to Karlovy Vary. Because Czech is very famous about the full-color glass with cup, toy, collection,... But the price is very high for buying one cup. You can study and explore the process of creating glass, it's great for everyone and kids.

The museum is small but beautiful and the glass works are real peaces of beauty. You can find free parking at the place, the cafe has a very nice design and the the museum provides an audio guide explaining the history and the works of art at the place After the museum you can find the glass shop where you can find beutiful glasses and vases for a bit of high price but the quality is amazing

A visit to the Moser museum glass factory is well worth the trip. Although the factory is small, we had an english speaking tour guide who explained every aspect of the process in detail. The tour ended in the shop where you could buy various items handmade in the factory. They were quite expensive, however, after seeing that every piece is handmade it is understandable why.

Coolest thing ever seeing how they blow glass in person. There was no one else in our tour group so it was basically in private tour through the area showing and explaining to us how they create glass. Also tour guide spoke prefect English so it was easy for us to understand.

We took a guided tour through the glassworks. We were shown how glass is blown in general, not more than that -- ain't anything special. How crystal is cut, how it is gilded and finished, getting its final magnificent look - this all is behind the scene, not included in a guided tour. The impression is spoiled by safety measures at the glassworks - workers work with liquid glass wearing worn-out open-toed shoes, wearing their dirtiest pants and tshirts that have long since served their time in the garage or garden. No hint of work uniform or modern protection gear, and while the guide assured that there are no accidents at the factory, one worker had his forearm in bandages.
