Fun & Educational Experience for Kids! 🎉🧠 The Toronto Museum of Illusions is a fantastic place for children and families! It’s interactive, fun, and full of mind-bending exhibits that spark curiosity and laughter. Kids will love exploring the illusion rooms, mirrors, and puzzles — it's a great mix of entertainment and learning. Perfect for a weekend outing, birthday treat, or just a fun day in the city. Staff are helpful, and the setup is clean and safe. Highly recommended for families looking to keep the kids engaged and amazed!

Visited here while on vacation in Toronto. The experience was fun and there are some great photo opportunities. I'm not sure if I felt the price was worth what there is to do however. The staff seemed friendly but not overly involved at all. They do have a good little gift shop! Worth doing if you're in Toronto, but don't expect to spend a tonne of time here.

Had a really fun time at the Museum of Illusions! It’s not a huge space, but it’s packed with cool visual tricks, mirrors, and interactive exhibits that mess with your perception in the best way. Some rooms were so trippy, I had to walk through them twice just to figure out what was happening. Great spot for photos too so definitely bring your camera. Staff were friendly and helped take pics when needed, which was nice. It took us about an hour to explore and check out everything and we took many fun snapshots so it’s worth it. Good place to go with friends or family, especially if you like fun experiences!

The Museum of Illusions in Toronto offers a fun and interactive experience filled with mind-bending exhibits and optical illusions. It’s a great spot for taking creative photos, especially in the tilted room and the infinity tunnel. The staff are friendly and helpful, often assisting visitors in capturing the best shots. While the museum is on the smaller side, it’s well-organized and engaging for both kids and adults. Overall, it’s a unique and entertaining place to visit, perfect for a short outing or a fun date.

Google
It was a nice museum with various kinds of things for me to see, such as various types of illusions. I recommend you going here with your friends and family if you are interested in illustrations, or if you have young kids. It will be an interesting experience for them. Also, this museum is not that big, that we can see the whole museum around 1~2 hours. :)

The moment I stepped inside, I felt like the kid in me came alive, soaking in every moment with pure excitement. It’s definitely a must-visit if you’re looking to try something different. The staff here are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service. Plus, they offer free coat and bag checking.

Visited the Museum of Illusions and had such a fun, quirky experience! The exhibits are creative and interactive, perfect for anyone who loves puzzles and optical illusions. It wasn’t busy when I went, which made it easy to explore everything without feeling rushed. It’s a great spot for all ages to explore mind tricks, take cool photos, and just enjoy something different from the usual museum visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, making the visit smooth and enjoyable. Definitely worth checking out if you want to challenge your perception and have a few laughs along the way!

Google
Cool place to make some photo memories with family and friends. The exhibits are clever, interactive, and incredibly fun—not just for kids or teens, but for adults too. We found ourselves laughing, scratching our heads, and taking way too many photos. It was a great mix of visual tricks, brain games, and optical illusions that sparked some friendly competition between us. What really impressed us was how well-designed and clean the space was. Staff were friendly and more than happy to help with photos or explain how certain illusions worked (without giving away too much of the magic.

Yelp
First time here. I just spent a mind-blowing evening at the Museum of Illusions! From the vortex tunnel to the gravity-defying room, each room I went in... was more mesmerizing than the last. The staff were friendly and respectful. They told us that each room has a descriptive sign which offers insights about the illusions. Also, I loved how interactive everything was because it made for a super engaging experience for my partner and I. So whether you are a kid or just a kid-at-heart (like myself), this museum is an absolute must-see. All I can write is.... be prepared to have your brain twisted and your senses fooled! Lol. Will I return? Absolutely! I need to revisit some of those mind bending displays.

Yelp
Last week, I visited the Museum of Illusions for the first time. It was a spontaneous decision--we bought tickets just 50 minutes before closing time since we were in the area looking for something fun to do. While I initially thought the time might be too short, it turned out to be perfect. The museum isn't very large, and you can easily explore all the illusions within an hour. The experience was unique and enjoyable. I had a great time interacting with the illusions and took lots of photos, which turned out amazing! Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting this museum at least once for a fun and different experience.

Yelp
Location This place is near Union Station, about a 10 minute from there and 2-minute from St Lawrence Market. You can't really miss it - but it is on the ground level of a condo/apt building. Inside is not super duper big, but there are about at least 50 different installations for you to experience - from small ones like a simple photo to as big as a subway cart. Experience This place is a bit mind-bending where you have to visualize how your brain and eyes perceive things. The subway installation for example is complete upside down, so it's great to be creative to take videos/photos to showcase the upside down world. There are different mirror installation setups that make you look at things differently. There are ones where you appear differently in size due to it's slanted setup. I also like how there are little explanations to help you understand what is going on. Admissions are timed - so best to arrive on time. There's no time limit for how long to stay once you entered - but it's usually around 1-1.5 hours. I like how there's free coat check, so you know things are safely guarded. This place is great for kids and adults - though probably geared towards kids.

Yelp
I live in Chicago, 837km away. Somehow I accidently bought tickets for this Toronto location. I realized my error within minutes and immediately called the museum. They said that this happens sometimes and as long as I let the museum in question know ASAP, they'll issue me a refund. I'll attach my emails as photos. They did not respond to any of them. I emailed from a 2nd address, which they responded to immediately. Once I re-explained the situation, they stopped replying. Dude. I get (maaaaaybe) being a hardass about no-shows if it's an issue for your business but I LIVE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY and I contacted them immediately about my mistake. What kind of bizzaro money grubbing is this? Don't go here on principal. They're gross. (We did have a great time at the Chicago location, check it out!)

Purpose T.

Yelp
This was a sporadic adventure. I literally walked by and made a mental note to check it out later. The tickets are a bit pricey, but it was fun. In hindsight, maybe not the best solo activity, but I made the best of it. After a few rounds of the same attractions, some silly photos, and a few giggles I was ready to go! It was a cute activity to say 'hey I've been there'. One and done!

Yelp
Such a cool experience! I've always wanted to come to one of these illusions museums. We spent about an hour in the museum checking out all the fun interactive illusions. They were super fun, and brought us a lot of laughter - they also make for awesome content opportunities. I highly suggest making a trip to visit this museum if yore looking for something fun to do when you're in town visiting.

Yelp
We were looking at top things to do for kids . And this came across - in trip advisor... our kids loved it . Even the adults had fun . It is a small place and I think some of the illusions- u can see in other places like wonderworks . Some illusions were really good . Price was ok. There was a guy who helped us taking pics exactly how the illusion was . Good customer service . Wish there were few more illusions for the price . Since we were in a large group, we took our time in each illusion , taking pics . Others moved on to the next ones and came back when free . Parking is a problem here . We had to leave our car in a paid parking location , next to this place . Good fun overall ... had a good experience... lots of food / drink places around ...

Raymond H.

Yelp
If you want an experience it's cool. Other than that waste of money. Pretty expensive for the limited amount of illusions provided.

Henry S.

Yelp
It's cool but it also wasn't too crazy, still a pretty good time though and recommend

Jon R.

Yelp
This place is great! If you need to kill 20 minutes or so, time will definitely fly here. They have great illusions, specifically the bridge walk where a mechanism activates and feels like you're spinning. I literally couldn't walk any further, it made me sick. Pretty cool though. For the price, I wouldn't come again. There's only so many to see, and I would say almost half of them were less interesting if not at all.

David G.

Yelp
We regret spending time and money here. 100 percent. It is a tourist trap through and through. Spend your money/time going to the ROM, the Aquarium, pretty much anywhere else.

Joe S.

Yelp
$106 for a family of 4 provided a few minutes of distraction. I'm not cheap but this was an absolute shake down. If you're here on vacation and think this would be fun to do with your kids- please reconsider.

Lisa V.

Yelp
Great for kids! Not a large space, but a lot of packed in. It was busy when we were there too. Many interactive illusions to enjoy. You will take 10000 photos, promise! Takes around 30-40min to get through.

Rosa W.

Yelp
Too pricy for what it is. Its the kind of attraction you can find in a big amusement park. Distorting mirrors, spinning wheels on walls, "tilted room," It was all nice a cute, kind of asthetic maybe, but this is what we chose to do on our 1 day trip to toronto and it was not worth the 30$. The whole thing took 20 minutes (at MOST) Kind of small and crowded, probably about 6 rooms total, but would be pretty cool if you came with kids (maybe) and wanted some photo-opps. We are both 22 so maybe that was the issue. Not a bad museum, but just know what you're getting into.

Michelle N.

Yelp
I feel like it wasn't worth the price, but it was still a fun experience. If you like taking pictures, there are many photo opportunities here. Just make sure to be considerate of other people taking pictures as well. Story time During my visit, a lady decided I was taking too long taking pictures, so she push her grandkids into the room. She began taking pictures as I was still standing there. And then she made the comment that she wasn't waiting for my photoshoot. At this point, I was in there for not even 2 minutes yet. So, I left because it was just one of many rooms that you can take pictures in. I have no clue why she wanted to act so entitled in her old age. Anyways, I came back to take more pictures but there was a family. So I offered to take pictures for them while I waited. Then, the same lady brought the staff over because she complained that I was hogging the room even though I wasn't. The staff was very professional and could tell that she was just harassing me for no reason. So, they just told her that everyone has a right to take pictures in the room. Like everyone else, you can wait. Then, they walked off and left her dumbfounded. This was definitely the highlight of my visit. The staff was great! 10/10 service.

Annie A.

Yelp
I will echo everyone else that said this was somewhat entertaining but not worth the price. It would be fun for kids but there are about three rooms with many little puzzles/activities.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Not worth the price at all. The entire 'museum' can be covered in 20-25 minutes. Some of the attractions/activities require a lot of thought and reading to understand, which sometimes sucks the fun out of it. The staff is friendly and professional, but I think this is better for children, perhaps.

Anna J.

Yelp
It's a pretty fun place to go with friends or family! However I went during August 2020 and for a place where most of the exhibits involve you touching something or putting your face close to something, there aren't very many COVID related safety precautions. They do have social distancing stickers on the ground and you do have to book a time slot to enter. There were maybe 2-3 employees in the entire place either sitting at the front or walking around. The music was so loud I couldn't hear a word they were saying when they were checking my ticket. There were a few hand sanitizing stations in place, but there was no one spraying down the exhibits or tools after people played with them/touched them. I was there from approximately 2-3 pm and although the washrooms were fairly clean, they hadn't been cleaned since 1pm according to the chart. I went in a group of 2 and it's a little hard to take photos because some of the stations require two people in it and another one to take a photo, so not all of the illusions worked for us.

Elisa L.

Yelp
We wanted to kill some time and saw this place was closed fairly late (for museum standards). First of all the space itself is fairly small and the reason that matters is because they have limited tickets per time slot. This is to make sure the place is not overcrowded. The reason it gets overcrowded is because everything here is about taking photos and getting the angles right. You would expect taking some photos would take maybe 10 seconds at most, but because this museum attracts a lot of families and older folks who are not as tech saavy, there are lots of delays and crowding issues. I highly recommend buying tickets online to avoid showing up and being told to come back in 20m to 1 hour. We did not buy tickets until about 2 hours before. We wanted to head over around 430p but saw that 4pm to 5pm and 5pm to 6pm were all sold out. So we just bought 6pm to 7pm tickets. It was very crowded around this time, but as it got closer to 7pm, it was less people. I recommend walking to the middle of the exhibit so you aren't waiting in long lines for the first two photo ops. Everyone gets their turn eventually because everyone will have finished taking their photo at each station. During weekends and summer time there are a lot of kids running around. You get used to it, but if you want to avoid, come during weekdays. Overall the quality of the actual setups were very good. I've gone to the Trick Eye museum in Seoul which is similar, but IMO more tacky. Museum of Illusions is a perfect balance brteeen modern looking decor and fun for all ages. It does cost about 30 dollars for adults, which can seem like a lot for the amount of stations they have, but I personally thought it is pretty well designed and I'd recommend a visit if you have the time.

Mandy A.

Yelp
Really fun place to visit! There were many different puzzles and illusions at the facility. Take your camera and follow the guides set put to get the Illusion. I would recommend going when it less busy but overall I had a very pleasant experience. There were many illusions I haven't seen and we're very fun to interact with! Felt the price was reasonable and staff is helpful. Tip ** I purchased my tickets online which meant no waiting.

Areej Q.

Yelp
Enjoyed my time visiting the Museum of Illusions. Some of the images displayed on the walls were ones that I had seen previously but were still cool to see again. Booked an early time slot of 10am to ensure minimal traffic both on the roads and inside. Spent approximately 1.30-2 hours taking in the visuals. A few rooms and optical illusions struck my fancy; the lopsided room where the person I was with indicated he felt off balance though I stood straight.. the tunnel, where I proceeded to lean into the railing because I was off balance and felt drunk.. My buddy felt drunk as well and nearly puked! It was kinda funny. It took our eyes and balance quite some time thereafter to readjust. I particularly liked the kitchen where my head was served on a platter, an unexpected surprise from one of the hologram photos (you've got to see it for yourself), the concave/convex faces, kaleidoscope, model of MOI and few others. It was something to do since I had purchased cheaper tickets from early on in the year. The weather was also warm for winter, so more of a reason to explore surrounding areas. All in all, the experience was fun and certainly did our heads in! Hehe.

Dave G.

Yelp
Basically it is a small area of optical illusions. I guess it's fun for small children. 5 minutes and you're done (and not impressed) for adults.

Karen M.

Yelp
The Museum of Illusions is a fun interactive museum for all ages that features trick-eye exhibits and optical illusions. It's located on Front Street in downtown Toronto and newly opened since late 2018. A lot of the exhibits and displays shown in this museum reminded me of the concepts I learned back in my perspectives psychology course in university. I remember the days of yore when museums like this were purely fun places to explore and fascinate your sights and senses because not everything seen was to be believed. Nowadays, such museums are the prime spot for photo-loving individuals to spend time in and walk away with fun and unique photos to share on social media, AKA Instagram-friendly!! Like many reviews have said, it's not the biggest space but the exhibits in the museum are enough to last you at least an hour of fun if you truly take the time to do so. If you simply go in, whirl around, and barely even read some of the exhibit descriptions, then your visit will be short and lack meaning. (You can purchase your tickets online which gives you a time slot of one hour, but once you are admitted in the museum, you can actually stay as long as you want. ) We arrived at 11 a.m. on a rainy Saturday day, and there weren't too many people at first. After an hour though, there were increasing waves of visitors, so I would highly recommend an early visit to the Museum of Illusions to have as much time with each exhibit as you like (and less likely to have strangers photobombing your photos). We spent a total of an hour and a half inside the museum. One thing I wish that could be implemented is if there could be tripods set up at most of the stations where a photo is necessary for you to see the result. For example, in the "Reversed Room" or the illusion of person A sitting in a small chair while person B looks on, a permanent tripod for people to affix their cameras to would be great. In other words, perhaps consider bringing your own tripod if you like having that control of taking your own photos. It's cool that Toronto has another tourist destination for visitors and locals alike to have fun at. They have a coat room for you to leave your coats behind (it's not monitored though, so leave your personal belongings there at your own discretion). Their reception desk doubles as a small gift shop where you can purchase toys, books, and souvenirs.

Julie L.

Yelp
I bought my ticket off Groupon for $26. When I read the reviews on there, someone had said it was smaller than they expected, so I didn't go in with very high expectations. But even then, it was still smaller than I thought. I personally think the tickets would've been more appropriately priced if they were $15-20. Coat check is available for free at your own discretion. My time slot was for 2-3pm and it wasn't too busy when I got there, but it was definitely busy as I was leaving. The illusions were alright... I felt like I had seen a lot of them over the internet already, especially the illusions that they had displayed in the wall. The individual rooms/exhibits were much cooler. The Vortex Tunnel was my favourite, super trippy and I was a little disoriented after walking through it! Overall, I had a good time but it could've been better. The concept has so much potential and there are so many similar types of museums worldwide that have better execution. (2019/7)

Clement R.

Yelp
Finally made the effort to come here on a weekend with my girlfriend as we were intrigued with the different illusions. So we walked over and we found the museum isn't much of a museum, but rather just a store with museum. Anyhow, enough with the technicalities. Once we got inside the store. We saw a lot of puzzles and toys at the front. We checked in with our e-ticket and left our jackets in the coat room. Our adventure begins. First off... It's packed. But that is expected. So we were going thru each exhibit and enjoyed ourselves. Some of the these exhibits are amazingly fun. Some can be "mind-warping". HAHA! Yeah, mind didn't adapt well to the spinning black and white circle exhibit. After this, there were some exhibits that were hanging pictures that didn't have an image till we look at them at a certain angle. Yeah, it was neat. After this, we were approaching the "infinity mirror" room... All I can say is they are trying too hard to mimic the real thing like Yayoi Kusama's exhibit. I mean I had fun with some of the exhibits. But it's not really like thrilling enough or feeling I have been wow-ed.

Rachel M.

Yelp
My sister went to Xenses in Mexico which is an illusion and senses themed park and she LOVED it so when she saw the Museum of Illusions was opening in Toronto she was all over it and booked tickets for us to go along with our brother and her husband. We went very close to Christmas since I am in London for school and it was the only time we knew I would be home and able to go. We were told it would take about 2 hours to go through the whole place but we were easily done in about 40 minutes, despite the large number of people just roaming around the small space. Most of the illusions are ones you have seen before, the typical ones you find online. There are a few photo op areas in the museum which are fun but with no staff monitoring them (with the exception of one area - the upside down room), it can be a little chaotic and you need to self-regulate with other guests. The week after I went here, I went to the Happy Place where each photo op was manned by a staff member or two and the inefficiency of this museum was only heightened. Not to mention that since the staff wasn't around these photo ops, someone from your group had to stay back in order to take the picture or you had to trust a complete stranger to do it for you. The one perk is that as far as museums go, this one wasn't all that expensive. It was a fun enough 40 minutes but that had more to do with being around my siblings and less to do with the actual stuff to see in the museum.

Wynne L.

Yelp
I had such a fun time with my cousin. We got our timed admission at 11 am. It ended up being perfect timing since a school group just left. There's a closet to hang up your jacket so that you don't have to carry it around with you. The staff said that a lot of people spend between 30-60 minutes at the museum. There was a couple ahead of us at the different exhibits/displays and we made a pact to take photos for each other haha. The vortex tunnel was the trippiest exhibit and I felt so unbalanced and off kilter.

Sara C.

Yelp
Staff are rude, wrong information on website, signs on doors and phone recordings. All says opens at 10am, but in reality they open at 11am. Waited for an hour, staff doesn't seem to care. Super dirty museum. Big disappointment. The workers didn't even wear a mask! And random people were not wearing masks inside also, no one enforcing anything inside.

Allison D.

Yelp
The Museum of Illusions features a novel variety of interactive rooms, displays and puzzles that explore the world of optical illusions. Overall, it was a fun and unique experience, and the museum attempts to strike a balance between being an "instagram" photo opportunity and providing some educational content. The museum is relatively small and the number of activities are fairly limited. My family and I visited on a Sunday afternoon at 12pm, with timed-entry tickets. The entrance to the museum is small, next to a Subway sandwich shop, and when you enter you immediately find yourself in their gift store. The coat check was free, and you hang your coat in a small walk-in closet (best not to leave any personal belongings in there). At this time, although tickets were said to be sold out, the museum wasn't overly busy. We had plenty of time to look at each exhibit without excessive crowds, but it did get busier as it approached 1pm. I generally knew what to expect at the Museum based on what had been shared on social media, particularly the more visually interesting exhibits: an upside down room, a small infinity mirrors room, a spiralling room...However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a magician roving through the museum and performing magic shows for small groups/audiences. He took the time to go through a fairly extensive series of tricks, with foam balls and playing cards, and did not seem rushed at all. It was very captivating, and you're not simply watching or observing, as you get to participate in the magic tricks too. Having a close-up magic experience was a real treat but I'm not exactly sure if magicians are a regular feature of the Museum. I enjoyed my visit to the Museum of Illusions - despite some of the exhibits feeling a little gimmicky - and the performance by the close-up magician was really special. However, I'm not sure if I would be compelled to return as I've already seen and experienced all of the exhibits and I am not sure whether they will bring in any new special exhibits in the future.

Mike P.

Yelp
I spent $155 for 3 adults and 4 kids for entrance fee. For comparison purposes, it's slightly cheaper had we gone to Ripley's Aquarium with the main difference being the museum is a 10 to 15 minute stop at best. From a value for money perspective, I'd give it a 2 maybe even a 1. Entrance fee should be maybe 10 bucks. Once inside, there are 4 or 5 small rooms. There are activities for the kids however, not enough to keep them engaged for an extended period. Overall, I'd save the money for somewhere else. If money is not a factor, or if it's for a couple, then it's a good conversation piece.

Quinton F.

Yelp
This place is so unassuming, I walked right past it upon first visit. That would be my only complaint. The Museum of Illusions offers a truly unique experience. The exhibits will not only amuse you, but challenge and amaze as well. With tunnels and mind bending experiences, you will spend time having fun and expanding your perspective on the natural world. I look forward to visiting again.

Sabina B.

Yelp
The Museum of Illusions is a fun interactive experience, filled with optical illusions and instagram opportunities for the masses. The space is a lot smaller than I had anticipated. We only spent an hour at the museum and were able to get through each exhibit. The optical illusions were interesting and fun to play around with, but the best exhibit was likely the infinity room (which reminded me of the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the AGO). Like many of the reviews have said, I thought the museum was a bit overpriced. I think the entry fee would more appropriately be $10-15. We purchased our tickets online, which are grouped by hour-long entry times. We chose 2:00 - 3:00 pm on Saturday. There were quite a bit of people in the museum but we didn't have to wait too long to try each optical illusion experience. Overall, I'd recommend the Museum of Illusions for a one-time experience. I'm glad that I got to experience it but I doubt I will go back for a second time.

Marwa M.

Yelp
It's too pricey for what it is. The area was really small and wasn't much to see. It was maybe worth $10 to visit but nothing much more than that. You would rather go to ROM. Because ur literally only in there for 7-10min and ur out. Had high hopes but it was all an illusion

Vanessa S.

Yelp
Definite "go to" with your friends and family! Right on the corner of Front and George St. is the home of this very entertaining museum. There are lots of cool exhibits to see and read about how our minds percieve what we see. You are welcome to hang up your coat and take lots of pictures. Pretty cool idea for a night out. Also very close to a parking garage on Church! (:

Samantha Y.

Yelp
I was here for a company event where they invited employees's friends and families. I was hoping it would be a very pleasant experience, but unfortunately not. First off, this place is tiny. Nothing like an actual museum. A museum is supposed to be a quite and spacious place. Everything here is very close to each other and there's not much space to really enjoy the museum. Better call is "exhibition of illusions". During the event the place was extremely crowded. Very hard to even take a picture without a kid walking in the shot! There was no one even regulating the rooms. They had signs for time limits but there was no one regulating during this busy time. The employees literally stood there like rock with no emotion or words. I highly do not recommend this museum for a group of more than 30 people. I think there was about a 100 people at the event and they definitely should have limited the number of attendees. I personally found the illusions not that mindblowing at all. None of them gave me a feeling that it was worth paying to see. The worst ones were probably the "infinity mirror" room, the one where your head is sticking out of a table, and the mirrored cards playing exhibit. Those three were super poorly made. The infinity mirror one was nothing compared to Kusama's infinity mirror. My sister and I went in and literally thought it was the worst imitation out there. The table with a hole for your head is so obvious the table had a side for you to go in. The mirrors at the front clearly showed that it wasn't an ordinary table and it didn't even align with the background! Not to mention how there were kids crawling in while you're taking a picture. Lastly, the cards playing mirror illusion is only good if the museum is empty. It's nearly impossible to take a picture without another person in the background or without taking the picture taker in the picture since it's fully mirrored. The ones that I think are the main illusions are the spinning tunnel, sideways room, the room where one side is big and the other is small, and the three different coloured shadow rooms. These rooms are mainly for pictures, there's really no illusion for the actual person in the picture, but if you show a picture of someone in these rooms maybe that might give the person looking at a picture an illusion. Most people felt dizzy in the spinning tunnel, but some people were able to walk through in a straight line. If you want to take pictures just for the gram then I guess this is for you. The illusions I think are meant for kids or people with no experience with better illusions or magic. I would say it's not worth the money and I'm so glad I didn't pay a ticket for this. We literally left after 15 minutes because there was nothing really worth staying for.

Yelp
The place is pretty small. On the Sunday afternoon, the front waiting area was packed and there's no process of how you enter or show your ticket. As long as there's a crowd, you could walk right in and no one would even know. There was one person at the entrance/cash and I only saw one other staff member in the entire rest of the "museum." It's so small and it felt like despite being a pop-up meant for instagram, there were some things that just weren't spaced out in a way that allowed for the best picture. There were some areas that offer a cool picture (like the one with the three different colour lights shiny against you and a blank wall and of course, the slanted room that makes one person look like a giant), but there just wasn't enough to feel like a well conceived, complete pop-up. Other than how little it seemed to offer, it was still an enjoyable albeit short experience.

Yelp
My husband and I had fun checking out this new museum yesterday! They have several locations around the world (original one is in Zagreb, Croatia) but this is the first one in Canada. There were several fun illusions from optical illusion puzzles on the walls to illusions in different rooms that were a bit more interactive. I also liked how there were detailed explanations for each illusion and it was interesting to learn about the psychological aspects of these illusions. I highly recommend reading each one to get more context to what you're seeing and honestly, you might as well to get your money's worth. I personally liked the colourful vortex tunnel, infinity mirror room (pretty much like the Infinity Mirrors exhibit that was in town months ago but you can stay longer than 20-30 seconds lol), kaleidoscope that you can look into and the room where one person looked bigger in one corner than another. Of course, all of these were awesome for photo ops! It took us about an hour to explore the whole place because we really took our time looking at each illusion, thoroughly reading all of the descriptions and taking lots of pictures. The museum is located a few minutes walk away from the St. Lawrence Market and other places to eat - convenient for getting food or drinks before or after visiting this place! Also, their online ticket system is convenient - no annoying queues like the Infinity Mirrors exhibit a few months ago! I got my tickets last month since I followed the museum on Instagram to get notified of advanced ticket sales. Dates and times for weekends were booked quickly at the time but the other week, I noticed that any day and time were available to anyone looking at their website. Staff members were hard to reach via email to change my booking date and time - I had to follow up a few times. I sent messages on Instagram (faster response time) and eventually, I got an email back confirming that my requested new date and time were fine - it was updated in their system and I was told to just mention it when checking in. We had no issues upon checking in yesterday - staff were nice and thankfully, it wasn't packed with overwhelming crowds of people. I also appreciated that we didn't have to pay extra to check in our coats in their coat room, as tickets were already pretty much $25 with tax per person. The verdict? Fun time for sure and worth visiting once for the experience!

Yelp
Stopped in this place out of curiosity and cool IG photos from friends. For about $28CAN you have full access to the exhibit and its offerings- from wall mounted optical illusions to walking into distortion tunnels (vortex). There's something for everyone here that will make you double-take or feel trippy, my favorites being the Rotated room and the Vortex (It totally will make you feel sick!). They also offer a non-Kasuma Infinity Mirror room, but isn't as impressive as the ones I've been in at the AGO. There also is an illusionist/magician that will show off some tricks as well if you want something more interactive than observational. In all, my friends and I got our fill in about 30 mins, and hoped there was more around to see. This month old exhibit definitely has the makings of something unique, but really needs to expand on what they offer to encourage repeat customers. I really hope it grows and does well but right now I feel like if you've been there once then that's all you need.

Yelp
Overall was a great stop in our trip, but could use some work. It was about 3-4 pm when we visited and was a little crowded. The area is small, but they should enforce decent behavior from children at the least. The art/attractions there are really interesting and I found it surprising that they have a museum on such an unsuspecting street :)

Yelp
This review would be best suited as a 2.5 stars however, Yelp does not give me the option to choose half-ratings! The Museum of Illusions can be thought of as a gimmick of sorts. This is not the beloved illusions and mesmerizing sights one can behold in other museums of this nature (if any of you have been to the Edinborough one don't bother with this place. just don't.) For two people it costed almost $60 to look at about 4 main attractions for about 30 minutes. At best the entertainment was mediocre as most of the practical elements to fiddle with were chipped or dulled completely. The spinning room was so tiny and the operation handle in reach of instagram models who would stop the illusion entirely for that *perfect* shot (which caused a lovely lineup). There was your typical small-to-large rooms, mirrors being and doing weird things and an upsidedown room. Takeaway: Extremely tiny place with little to no assistance from staff. The illusions looked bored of themselves and as though they have seen better days despite this location opening a couple months ago. This place is not worth it unless you really want to see some fun mirror tricks for a couple of minutes.

Yelp
Very promising and fun museum to attend with dates, friends or families! Got to see a lot of the cool optical illusions as well as other rooms of mysteries made through smokes and mirrors and other interesting stuff. There is a coat room for you to hang our coats and winter jacket but do be wary of all belongings because that's on you. Having said that, they do sell some products in a more convenient size for you bring home as a souvenir or gift which i think is cool. But a bit expensive. I spent around 30-35 mins here others spend more or less. Its conveniently located close to the union station so definitely a go to visit via public transit but honestly...for the price of $30 per person to enjoy the max 30-45min museum seems like a far stretch and am ocassional splurge once in awhile.

Yelp
It's a fun little museum. Perfect if you want to kill an hour or two when you're in the area. Most illusions I've seen before but we still had fun. I really liked the puzzles they had too. I took a star off for poor organization. It took us three tries and two phone calls to buy tickets. The website shows there're tickets available but when we called they said they're sold out. Also you can't buy tickets in person for a specific time slot, that option is only available online but no one told us about that.

Yelp
we went over the holidays and we were disappointed by the "over 70 illusions" to see. I imagine there are about that amount indeed but more than two-thirds are puzzles and displays you most likely have seen in any illusion books from the public library. As a museum, you'd expect more interactivity rather than a display of arts. After the kids had done the few main physical pieces of interactivity such as the wrap tunnel, upside-down room, infinity mirror room, sloped room and played with the brain puzzle for a little while there was not much to kid them entertained after 30 min and about $20 a head. This is not a good spend and we cannot recommend this place unless for much cheaper.

Yelp
My time there could of been wonderful. Unfortunately they create an environment to stimulate the mind and distort reality and played terrible top 40 music. I wasn't there for the instrgram moments I genuinely went to have an experience and learn and I couldn't enjoy myself. I'm really unhappy that they cheapened the experience by playing into the pop culture aspect of it. Can I pay extra for them to play some classical music, or nothing at all?

Yelp
We didn't have access to our confirmation number since it was on a work email and apparently they dont use any of the information that you provide when booking to keep track of your reservation? Update: lady at the counter was able to fix everything that alone makes it worth the 5 star.

Yelp
I can't believe how expensive this museum is, ridiculous & so not worth it after I went thinking there would be so much more. As much as they have interactive exhibits, too many things will make you dizzy & those signs are posted to warn you. I was so disappointed in how small & cramped it is when you essentially are waiting for other people as you go through this museum. There could be so much more to this museum but it's lacking on so many levels. So not worth it.

Yelp
The museum is small and easily gets crowded. There are lots of fun exhibits, however I do not believe it justifies the price of the admission ticket. I believe it was $48 for my 7 year old daughter and myself and our visit in the museum probably lasted no more than an hour. While in the museum there were several optical illusions that mesmerized us, but what stole our experience and warranted the 4th star in my review was the illusionist who performed several mesmerizing tricks before our eyes. A note to people who are prone to motion sickness beware that some of the exhibits tend to have the effect of making you nauseous, as even writing this review when I look at some of the pictures posted from the museum recreate that effect for me. However, my daughter still talks about the visit and loved her experience there!

Yelp
Small and not many rooms for the value of admission costs. There were 3 nice instagrammable spots and the rest were kind of... lame. Overall, it was a decent experience but wish we could have left wanting more.

Yelp
We went this morning and it was relatively empty so it took us 30 minutes to see everything. The space is small so if it's not busy, you can probably see all the exhibits in 15 minutes and for that reason it's not worth the price. I bought a Groupon ticket which was $21 and it's still not worth that price. They should charge $10 max. There were only three exhibits that really wow-ed me - the upside down room, the corridors that move with you, and the room that makes you look giant/small. It was still rather fun, but don't go in with high expectations. On the plus side, it's right across St. Lawrence so you can go when they open and then grab brunch at the market.
