This museum is a must when visiting Aruba. The history of the island all provided within one succinct collection of artifacts and photos. 5 stars to Edward, who explained everything we looked at in detail and even shared some fascinating photos, interesting facts and stories of this beautiful island. Remember to Bring cash for the entrance fee! If not, there’s an ATM nearby. All in all, a must!

I enjoyed this museum so much! Edward is so personal, and the stories he shared...amazing! This place needs to be advertised more, people love history. The fact that Aruba was supplying fuel to planes during WWII at the rate that they were is not talked about enough. The cultural aspect of welcoming the different nationalities is why Aruba is such a gem. *pls note...take cash, $5 usd no cards

Hidden gem: very well curated exhibition about the five industries of Aruba, their history and local impact. Great conversation with the very knowledgeable staff. Don't miss! Open Tue-Fri, 5 USD.

A must-do when in Aruba, to learn more on the rich history of the island. Perfect when the sun hits hard in the afternoon, for a 1h visit. Staff is super welcoming and open to answer questions, and the exhibition is well designed and very informative. Don't forget cash for 5$ USD entry.

Small two story museum near the art murals that if you're in the area, you should check out. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It was not busy at 3pm on a Tuesday.

This needs to be in more guide books! (Or I need a new guide book!) We were so blown away by this museum. It’s not large, but it’s packed with information and it was such a delight to learn the history of the island’s industries, and then explore the island and see the history right in front of you (like the oil refinery in the distance and the plantation in arikok national park, as well as the remains of the gold mill). This museum is incredibly designed to take you through Aruba’s industrial history, from gold to aloe to phosphorus to oil to tourism, and then leave you with the hope of green tourism. Be sure not to miss going upstairs to be immersed in a conversation with Aruban elders as they tell their stories about the history of the island. This was one of our favorite visits on the island. We were sad to have missed seeing the sister community museum, but will be sure to catch it next visit! Make sure to stop here early on your trip if you’re able, so you can see the history in real time during your stay!

This small museum is worth your time to visit! It tells the story of industry in Aruba, which shaped the dynamics of the population. The upstairs video vignettes are riveting, with the actual residents explaining the history of the island. As a bonus, Edward, the museum staff member who was there the day we visited was so helpful. We spoke at length with him after viewing the exhibits, and learned many more interesting things about Aruba. Go see the murals, then hit up the industry museum! It is well worth the $5 to visit!

This museum is set inside an old water tank which is just the start of the fantastic and superb tour... It's 5 entry fee that can be paid with cash or card. The museum is carefully and well set out for a historical/ chronological walk through Aruba's history which is a quite interesting story of prosperous ups and to me suspicious downs. It gives a beautiful display of the diversity and harmony that exists on the island. My tour was conducted by an extremely knowledgeable and polite guide ( I have no idea why his name slips me) who was answered all questions with enthusiasm. The tour ends in a theatre like room for tales from Arubans of older times I think the museum is a must see! We simply took a bus down from Oranjestad 2.50 and walked about 5 minutes in an easterly direction! You can see the tour from the bus park.
