Museum of Local Products

Fascinating stories of indigenous culture unfold in a stunningly beautiful ancient house, where you can also savor the unique experience of drinking Lao tea, a specialty exclusive to Hội An.

The building itself is interesting to have a look at, the exhibition is also kind of nice. But beware of the products they are selling there. They were selling incense sticks and and incense cases at a very high price, while you can buy exactly the same thing at the airport X5 times cheaper.

I landed in this museum by accident, entering the museum of traditional medicine (which is in the same house) and walking just continuing to explore. The exhibition was very interesting and I got invited to try the local herbal tea afterwords. I had a lovely chat with the two women working there and still feel super thankful to have met them. This was by far the best experience I had in the 5 days I spent in Hội An. It was generous and calm, just what I needed, since the rest of the city is super busy and overwhelming. Also the herbal tea is super delicious and a nice alternative to drinking caffeine all the time :))

Very nice small museum in the city center. It’s located in a traditional building, so you can learn about local products and culture while exploring the rooms of the house. The staff were very helpful — they answered our questions, shared additional information, and offered us some nice tea at the end of our visit. It’s a perfect place to escape the heat of the day, learn something new, and meet lovely people!

There was two super nice ladies inside, giving us tea and mango for free. Lovely and cozy place, recommend going there!

Fantastic experience, learning about the cinnamon and agawood and the relationship between the people of Hoi An and the land during the many years of trading internationally! Also learning amzing facts about the swiftlets nest harvesting. Must see definitely
