Museum of Modern and Contemporary House Cavazzini

We were looking for something different to the tradition Italian art. This museum fitted our request perfectly. We thought we would be there only 30 mins but in the end it was so interesting the we spent 2 hours between all the exhibitions. Very worth the entry price. There is an interesting contrast between the old building with the wooden ceilings and the modern building.

A real treasure and treat in the heart of Udine. Stunning old palace, the modern exhibition is well planned with interesting painting. The flat a unique insight of the 30s design.

The only, if I’m not mistaken, contemporary museum in the area. The Paradoxa temporary exhibition that I’ve seen was very interesting. An open door to the Korean world, especially the north which is often unexplored. I also had the time to watch the lovely 2 floor permanent exposition which have paintings/drawings from big names Picasso to Chagall to De Chirico and less known ones (De Chirico’s brother). There’s loads so definitely take your time. I preferred the last floor than the middle one.

Such a nice museum - spend at least 1 1/2 hour here. Nice staff and interesting art that wakes ones fantasy

Very accessible; lots of Italian painters; 5 euros entree. I was there on a Saturday afternoon at 330pm and maybe 10 other visitors

A brilliant museum. There was a great exhibition of a Japanese artist but also more extensive collections of modern art, including a couple of Picasso paintings and a Braque. Central location and fair price.

Only visited the pre-ticketing section of the collection. Very much impressed with the way the building incorporates its surroundings. Very welcoming staff.

Great little collection of temporary and fixed exhibition of modern art. Not my piece of cookie, I get a little depressed and somber of this art form, but others may enjoy this immensely. Ticketing is very complex, but mostly free or subsidized 🙂.
