Museum of Modern Art André Malraux

It's really good. So many times I visited Le Havre, but it was my first time in MuMA. Exceptional collection of Boudin, some interesting pieces of Matisse, and, of course, Raoul Dufy, my love. Great accueil.

Great gallery, beautiful situation. A lovely space in its own right with some fabulous impressionist and other art. The photographic exhibition which was on when I visited was terrific. Le Havre may not be thought of as much of a destination, but this makes it worth the visit.

Art museum was about an hour or so walk through. Most of the writings about the paintings were in French, so used a translator to read the ones I cared about. A lot of the art work had audible recordings if you choose to go that route. First time here and possibly my last, as we’re from the US. So took this opportunity to view some recognized artwork with my own two eyes. Very surreal if you stop and think about the history you’re staring at.

Small regional museum. The collection is big but only a small number of paintings are displayed in a single large room on the first floor. Also the lights through the large windows are difficult with the sun outside. Only 1hour for the full tour of the permanent collection.

Good range of works - some famous names, some to find out more about. Raoul Dufy came from Le Havre and used his style to depict the harbour and local life. Easy to get to from town centre if visiting from cruise terminal

Small but compact. It is one of the most interesting places I have visited. Photography amazing and matching paintings of scenes with actual photos. The history of photography is so interesting. Must see on your list.

Very interesting museum with friendly staff. Some lesser known impressionist works as well as some well known ones such as Renoir and Pissaro. Also some works that were curiously not at all modern.The restaurant is also very good value for an excellent three course lunch. We went on a Friday which seemed to serve a reduced price menu. Lovely sea views.

A lovely art gallery to visit, right on the seafront in Le Havre. Some very attractive impressionist paintings to view, including a couple of Monet, Renoir and Pissarro among others. A friendly welcome, nice little shop and useful free lockers and loos too

Small museum with many pieces of impressionist art. While in Le Havre, take a side trip to Honfleur. There, you will see landscape that inspired impressionist artists like Boudin and Monet. At this museum in Le Havre, you will see a large collection of Boudin pieces, which display his versatility as an artist. While he seemed to favor outdoor scenes, he also has many lovely pieces including paintings of fruit. While the museum is not large, it is a nice stop to connect the real landscape to that captured by French Masters! I'm not really sure what the expected admission is, but I received a reduced rate of 4 Euros (and children are free). There is exhibit space on the first floor that was empty (I believe their temporary exhibits).
