A really nice museum, and with the same ticket you can visit the photography museum as well! Great deal. Normally I wasn’t getting too excited about going to the music museum but as it was close to my Hammam appointment and got the ticket already through the other museum I went, and did not regret. It’s small but very beautiful. Even met the owner who explained a bit about the rooms, renovations and how to interpret the different decorations and paintings. Very interesting to hear from him directly about the history and meaning of the place! The rooftop is also a great space with a beautiful view. Trust the signs to get there! The roads may make you second guess but you are at the right place.

Surprising little gem in the heart of the Medina. This interesting museum has well preserved instruments and photo displays outlining the history of musical instruments in Morocco and Africa. Displays are well-signed in English and French and there are some videos as well. Well worth the visit and you also get entry to the Photography Museum.

Best museum in Marrakech! Beautiful building with interesting and informative displays. Text in English and French, photos, videos, audio, and instruments you can try. Clean toilets. We went to Bahia Palace in the morning and this museum was much better and worth the price. The only place I actually learned something about Morocco and the different people groups here!

Resist temptation to touch any instruments but keep an ear out for the beat of the music on the videos played on screens. You'll need it for when you get to the instrument room where you can play your heart out, as loud as you wish. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous in its own right and worth a visit, shaded with live plants and naturally cool.

FANTASTIC! Don't be put off by the fact that getting to this museum requires walking down some winding and narrow alleys. There are helpful signs along the way, and OMG it is so worth it. At first it seems small, but it consists of a labyrinth of rooms on different floors, which you access through narrow, winding stairs. It's a surprise of discovery around every corner. If you don't like musical history but are into either archaeology, architecture, or sociology, you will be thrilled with a visit here. The exhibits, especially the ones above the initial rooms, are extremely informative, and the top floor (not counting the terrace) is a marvel of decor. The building itself is worth the visit. No crowds - I had the place to myself most of the time. The staff were also super friendly and enthusiastic. If you purchase a 60dh ticket, the same ticket provides entrance to the Photography Museum. Don't miss it!

We had a very lovely visit to the Museum of music, tucked away inside the souks, this small but perfectly formed space will delight you with instruments and information about the history of music and instruments from the region. There are wonderful sights as you walk through each beautiful arched doorway surrounded by lush plants and the melodic sounds of birds creating their own musical score in the air. The architecture, the artwork, the array of percussion, and stringed instruments are definitely worth seeing when visiting Marrakesh. We stopped to see the views and enjoy an orange juice on the roof terrace, which was a lovely relaxing end to the visit. Would highly recommend a visit, and the ticket price includes entry to the photography museum, which we unfortunately didn't get a chance to see, but we will when we return.

Not very big but interesting. In addition to the musical instruments specific to Africa, you can admire some very beautifully decorated rooms in traditional Moroccan style. Besides, there is also a cafe with a terrace on the roof, with a pretty nice view.

Amazing museum with lots of incredible information on the instruments and the culture. The building itself has been beautifully restored too. There is also a very peaceful terrace with food and drink available. Highly recommended.
