Great spot to learn some history about this great state. Really enjoyed the exhibits and came away knowing more about life in northern Colorado at the turn of last century. Thanks for hosting.

Well worth the time spent. Free admission so please donate generously. Great folks working there welcomed and visited with us. We spent a couple hours looking at everything in detail. Lots of local history. Quaint gift shop but lots of books to choose from. Highly recommended.

Museum to town size ratio is way out of proportion. I joke with friends that this is a massive little Museum for such a tiny little town. Its been a while since i was there bit it was incredible and worth a day!!!

What a great museum! Fun for adults and kids alike. The world's largest watercolor painting is incredible! You've gotta put this on your list of "go-to's".

Yelp
Haunted .. went upstairs touched a antique saddle and got a weird vibe on it as a vibe went up my arm. Only let my wife know after tour. But great museum with cool stuff inside..

Yelp
What a wonderful Colorado gem! This museum houses some amazing treasures that are part of Colorado history. It was fun seeing so many wonderfully preserved relics and learning the history of this area. Cattle rustling was a big problem back in the day! This museum is well worth the drive from Steamboat and honestly, I'd recommend making a trip of it from anywhere!

Yelp
Super impressive collection and very knowledgeable staff. After growing up in Craig, I frequently visited for school field trips. Now, as a second grade teacher, I love using the website as a resource and have made phone calls to ask questions about our town's history. Recently, I called needing information about a particular photograph that I had. After a vague description, the staff member was able to name the picture and gave me a date and lots of information about it! Don't pass up this gem of a museum.

Yelp
We stumbled on this, and it was the highlight of the day. Amazing stuff very well displayed, particularly the gunfighter's collection. Don't miss this one passing anywhere near here. Make your plans to spend at least 1 1/2 hours here. Unbelievable hidden gem. Staff is extremely friendly.

Yelp
Well worth the drive if you are visiting Steamboat. Fascinating gem of a museum with very knowledgeable staff. We particularly enjoyed the "Bad Bob" Meldrum exhibit and stories, especially after having been in Telluride at the site of the Tomboy mine and learning of his connections there. The museum has a stunning collection of spurs, guns, and saddles. DO ask the staff questions, we learned so much! The museum is free, so make a donation and buy something at the store.

Yelp
Nice little museum gives a glimpse into the history of the craig area. Admission is free, so please leave a donation to help this volunteer-led museum stay open. The volunteers are knowledgeable and friendly.
