MARe is a great place to explore contemporary art and it sits in one of the nicest areas in Bucharest. I visited the Dumitru Gorzo exhibition and really enjoyed the bold style and the way the museum space brings out the details in his work. The building feels modern and easy to navigate and the overall experience was relaxed and enjoyable. It is a good stop if you want to discover recent art or spend some time in a pleasant part of the city.

A small but well-designed space showcasing contemporary works in a clean, modern setting. The curation is thoughtful and visually appealing, but the tour is over quite quickly, leaving you wanting more. Worth a short visit if you’re nearby, but not a must-see for a full afternoon.

One of the most favorite places in Bucharest! Totally kid-friendly, always interesting and beautiful. See you soon, the team of the top museum of Romania! ❤️

A very unique building and museum, compact sized so you don't get burnt out, incredibly facilities, however I do recommend checking out what the current exhibition they are hosting is, since they change it up every few months. We were hoping to see some more interesting art, but unfortunately fell upon something that wasn't aligned to our personal preferences. Still a great place though, just make sure you are informed about the current exhibition!

It was interesting to visit the modern art gallery in Romania. The building itself looks modern and stylish, but the 45 RON entrance fee felt overpriced for the size of the exhibition. I had seen some intriguing artwork photos in the reviews, but when we arrived, a different exhibition was on display — and to be honest, we were quite disappointed. Most of the artworks were simply blank canvases in black, red, or grey, and the rest felt like random brushstrokes without much depth. The descriptions didn’t explain the concept or meaning behind the works, and even after reading them, we were left wondering what exactly we were looking at. Tip: Check the gallery’s website before your visit to see what’s currently on display — it might save you from disappointment.

Google maps says it's 25 lei, but that's only the student price. On the wall at the reception it says the price for a full ticket is 50 lei, but when I went I ended up paying 60, more than double the advertised. There was only one exposition by a single artist (Dumitru Gorzo), and it was by far the least interesting art museum I've been to in Bucharest so far. A lot of variations on the same drawings of abstract monsters with tits. Two stars because the receptionist was nice and saved the hat I forgot

I visited the Art Museum in Bucharest, and it was truly inspiring. Although I didn’t recognize all the artists, the works were vibrant and captivating. The diversity of the pieces provided me with plenty of ideas and inspiration that I will definitely use in my teaching with students. The beautiful setting of the museum only added to the overall experience. 🎨

Fantastic museum. Unique and well-thought out layouts, friendly staff, excellent curation, and I love the library and terrasse on the top floor
