Museum of the History of Poznań

The Museum of the History of Poznań is fascinating! It gives a detailed look at the city’s past with engaging exhibits and interactive displays. Friendly staff and a well-organized layout make it easy to explore. Poznań Old Town is charming, full of colorful historic buildings, lively cafes, and beautiful squares. The Town Hall with its famous goats is a must-see, and walking around the cobbled streets is a delight. Both the museum and the Old Town offer a perfect blend of history, culture, and atmosphere.

The museum was smaller than I thought, and the number of exhibits was smaller. Unlike other city museums in Poland, there was not much explanation of the historical development of the city. The museum mostly had early archaeological remains of the city and some paintings.

The town hall museum has quite a lot to discover. It's also free to visit on Tuesdays! There's a great exhibition on the history of Poznan, and especially the history of the town hall building, to be seen. Including a torture chamber, city plans and maps, and the clock tower goats to see up close! I quite enjoyed perusing the exhibition.

Very beautiful place! When it’s 12 o’clock, you will see two goats from the bell tower.

As for the actual museum, the Saturday free days AND visits to the historic rooms are over. Poked around looking at a few artifacts, done in 10 minutes.

The townhall in Poznan is so beautiful and amazing, because there is a lot of sculptures, paintings, fresco. And what very liked me, it is the man who playing on pipe. It is going on every hour. And every hour on townhall tower ringing bells. It is something incredible. At evening there is lighting colourful lights and it is seems like cathedra. I was liked this town for his soul.

Beautiful Olt Town Hall with amazing paints on the walls and such beatiful clock tower where everyday at 12PM you can meet two fighting goats under the clock.
