​I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. It's located in an old mansion, the Casa Lercaro, which is beautiful and worth seeing all on its own. The museum itself is a nice size—not too big, not too small—and gives you a really good overview of Tenerife’s history, from the 15th century right up to the modern day. ​The exhibits are well-organized and easy to follow, covering everything from the island's social and economic development to its cultural traditions. I especially liked the sections that showed what life was like in the past, with furniture and objects from different eras. It’s a great way to understand how the island and its people have changed over time. ​It's a perfect stop if you're already in La Laguna and want to learn more about the history of Tenerife without getting overwhelmed. Definitely recommend it!

A splendid local museum, it is very focused on regional history. Copies of documents denoting many important facts are displayed. The museum also contains information about the building, which is an exhibit on its own, and even traces the history of the family that owned it.

It’s a beautiful building and the staff were very helpful. The contents are presented without AV support and purely in Spanish, which is fine, but it did not live up to our hopes. Nevertheless, we had a fine time.

The museum looks nice, but the experience was disappointing. If you don’t speak Spanish, you must connect to the museum Wi-Fi to understand the exhibition. The Wi-Fi is unstable and keeps disconnecting, so it’s hard to follow the content. In the end, we had to use translation apps/ tools to understand what we were seeing, which is frustrating for a paid museum visit. Even more problematic is how Tenerife’s colonial history is presented. Violence, enslavement and the oppression of the indigenous population are largely ignored or softened. The exhibition focuses on a neutral “political development” story and avoids critical context. Not recommended for visitors looking for a clear and honest explanation of Tenerife’s history.

Well done museum depicting the colonial history of Tenerife and the building itself, but lacks geological and archialogical history pre-dating the colonialism. There is an audio guide to fill in the details captured in each room. This museum is a good starting point when walking the historic district of La Laguna.

One of the best museum in Tenerife! Well prepared and audio tour is perfectly explanatory. Recommended to anyone interested in learning a little bit on about the island. Don't forget to support local artists by purchasing some nice prints at the end of the self-guided tour. I'm my opinion, this is the 2nd best museum after the big one in Santa Cruz.

Well worthwhile as a small side trip if you are already in La Laguna. Bear in mind the written information is not in English but reasonably intelligible if you are A1-A2 level in Spanish.
