We loved this museum!! The exhibits were amazing - providing excellent information on some ways of life, tools, and excellent craftsmanship. We were there when there were some Black Fleet artists demonstrating their art - drawing and beading. It was lovely to watch them and talk to them. (We visited at the end of September. It was nicely attended but not crowded. We don’t know what it would be like in the summer.)

Museum has plenty of fascinating objects, art, clothing and information. Well worth the admission free. Staff were friendly and informative. Good washrooms (only accessible with the entry fee).

Lovely display, enjoyable chats with your resident artists. They are so talented. It's a shame your gift shop doesn't have more crafts from local crafters.

Such a cool little museum! The works they have are so interesting and many are several centuries old. What’s even cooler is the room for local Blackfeet artists. Many of them work out of there and we had some lovely conversations with members of the tribe. Highly recommend.

Very small museum but interesting if you want to learn more about the Plains Indians. Definitely worth a stop if you are driving through East Glacier and you will be driving by.

Beautiful displays of authentic and historical Native American clothing, tools, weapons. History references of significant events, helpful curators and staff, original art demonstrations and sale of Native Arts and crafts. A must see if authentic Western History is your goal.

The museum itself is very good - I don’t think I’ve seen a more complete and well preserved collection of plains Indian artifacts anywhere else. The museum was informative and small enough that it’s not too much of a commitment to do the whole thing. The highlight of the entire tour was the native artist area where we got to speak with and watch local artists creating their wares. I unfortunately have to knock off a star for the gift shop. There’s a sign by the counter advertising locally made items, but you need to check them yourself - it doesn’t apply to everything in the shop, so double check tags before buying if you’re going with the intention of supporting local artisans.

Worth the visit, the drive out to the museum is a beautiful view of the mountains and countryside. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Exhibits of culture, history, and craft.
