13 Best Places to Visit for Halloween Around the World

"A torture museum in Prague delivers an experience the text describes as genuinely terrifying — more frightening than any fake haunted house back home — tapping into the city's gothic, spooky atmosphere." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. I only had to wait as there was a sign on the door saying they would be back shortly. I am guessing it’s only the one member of staff. This place is well set out and has lots of Information about what is in there. It’s dark and gives the impression of like you are heading down into a dungeon. However this attraction is really short, I read most things and was out in 15 minutes, and that was being generous. The price for the attraction is not great. It needs to be made longer or adjoined with another attraction, or even reduce the price dramatically.

The walk through the museum takes around 15-20 minutes depending on how invested one is in the exhibits, it could have been longer for my taste. For that the price is very reasonable and there is a student and senior discount. All in all a unique experience and definitely recommend if you can handel a little bit of macabre history.

A small but thoroughly informative museum. A great way to spend some time, wasn’t busy at all, and some great displays. Especially being set in some gothic caves too!

Super humid and warm environment. Didn't take long to see whole museum. I wish there was more, other than text to read by yourself.

It’s a small museum. Definitely neat to check out but I thought they’d have a bit more. They didn’t mention some common medieval torture methods, but what they had was still fun!

The place itself was a little disappointing. Price was reasonable for us at first- We got the combo ticket for this and the wax museum. But this one was super small and there wasn't much to see although what we saw was interesting. Soo not sure about the price... The lady at the admin desk was super nice. :)

Really a weird experience, you spend less tha half an hour reading everything and walking through the museum. Half of it seems broken and it has a really weird smell. But the man at the front desk was really nice!

It’s a thematic museum, mainly featuring torture devices from the European era and life-sized mannequins in detailed reenactments. It offers a chilling experience, especially for photography enthusiasts. not ideal for kids under 13 due to some intense displays difficult to explain. It’s not wheelchair-friendly as there are stairs to get in and out. Pro tip: grab discounted tickets online beforehand!
