Fantastic museum. Really interesting to learn all about the history as well as the painstaking process to produce the very best traditional balsamic vinegar. The tasting at the end was simply amazing. You'll never look at it again in the same way and you'll most likely buy a bottle of the traditional vinegar to take away, be warned! 🙂

Great tour and offered us a private tour upon arrival. Very insightful on the history and passion involved in traditional balsamic production. Both hosts were friendly and their English was more than enough to convey their passion and information about the history and process. The sampling at the end was also informative and a chance to try some special balsamic vinegar. Located in a nice little town, it was easy to find street parking and a nice lunch place after the tour.

Must go to when in Modena!! They explain the process of making traditional Balsamico from Modena from beginning to end. It was super interesting, we got to see their vinegar production area upstairs and finished with a tasting.

One of the most informative museums we have ever had the pleasure of stopping at. We did this on a whim and I'm truly glad we did. My wife and I had no idea of the process or the value this vinegar holds for the local population. Excellent and informative staff!

This has to be one of the most informative tours that I have ever had. To find out how exactly Balsamic Vinegar is made and that it can only come from this ONE region in the entire world is just incredible. The curators at the museum went so far above anything that you could even imagine to answer questions that I had and trust me it was a lot of them. I can not say enough good things about this visit and what information that was given to me. If you are in Modena you need to stop by here for sure!

We loved learning about traditional Balsamic Vi gar production and how much time goes into making it the real deal. I would highly recommend stopping to and doing a tour of the museum.

Great tour, we left with a great understanding of the prestige of Modena Balsamic Vinegar. Savour the tasting, it may be some of the best balsamic you will taste as a tourist visiting the area.

This little museum is truly amazing. We were so surprised to learn that the barrels we thought were 'props' actually contained traditional balsamic vinegar which was in the process of aging and production. One of the Masters gave us a very informative tour and spent lots of time answering our group's questions. Great to taste the minimum 12 year old traditional Modena vinegar with the 25 year old one. Such fun!
