Excellent value for money. Cross the street to maybe the best museum in Cairo, even if there are more modern ones. Very central, close to the Tahrir Square. Nice and healthy breakfast, but not a continental/full monty of course. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room not facing the road. The rooms are nice, considering the price, and just ask the staff if you want it cleaned or if something is wanting. We stayed there for 8 nights and it is better than hotels nearby that we experienced. Finally, the best thing about this place is the staff, the two guys and the girl in the reception was very helpful and provided us with guides and tips when we asked for it.

This little hotel called the Museum Plaza is great value for money, the staff are fantastic, reception all speak English, breakfast is good and so central Cairo (some would say too central) across from the museum.||Mustafa and the hotel staff are friendly and nothing is a problem. Rooms are not tiny and there is ample room. Our room 204 had a balcony and gave us great entertainment watching the square of a night.||For those who like a tipple there's a shop called Drinkies 5mins walk away.||If you want all the bells and whistles this is not the place for you. If you want clean, tidy, good staff and a great $ value then this is the place.||I'll post pics and remember I did say central and I did not say tranquil!

Everything I needed was provided. However, the hot water that I needed the most was completely gone in 3-4 minutes. The staff said it was because I had used up all the water, but that doesn't make sense. I waited shivering for 20 minutes, but the water still wasn't replenished. Thinking about my experience of almost catching a cold, I don't want to visit again.

We are recommanding this hotel without hesitation! It is located just in front of the Egyptian Museum. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They are also very accomodating. We were allowed to check in earlier. The room we had was really clean, beautifully arranged and cosy. Breakfast is excellent and can be served in the room. Super location!

5 days, great staff, our twin room was pretty good. Bathroom has a bidet which is a major plus for me. 1 min to Museum, short walk to WE mobile and a Drinkies!! Organised a great tour guide (Hala) for the pyamids. Don't do it yourself. Great breakfast.

Great location across the road from the Egyptian Museum and close to restaurants, the metro and shops. The staff were all friendly and helpful, in particular the manager Mostafa Kamal who assisted us with our travel arrangements, including internal Egypt flights and a Nile cruise, and followed up to make sure things were going well. Breakfast was good and plentiful (and it's possible to have it in your room if the small breakfast area is full). The hotel and our room were clean and comfortable and the price was good for the central location. As others have noted, there was some traffic noise audible from the room (but we found this to be normal throughout Egypt). Overall, we were very happy with the service and the price and would definitely stay again.

Had some business at the American Embassy and some papers to file .. This place is 15 minutes to American Embassy . I had my Egyptian friend drive me from Luxor . I booked 1 room , 2 beds and thought all was fine for a couple of nights ... Huge mistake . The hotel will tell you that any foreigner can't share the room with an Egyptian citizen ..It is Orwellian and archaic for sure but this is the 'upsell' as I had to buy another room ... This shady business does not disclose this in Booking's "policies section ' so it's a nasty surprise . Happened to another couple of friends too while I was there , they walked away ..This hostile hostel is revolting . Supposedly they are not allowed to take Egyptian currency from me but cash talks with these disingenuous schemers. My 'upgraded' room was overlooking the noisy street and the honking non stop . Did a Bed Bug search and yes found one very alive and happy ..Took photos and spoke to reception, changed rooms to a claustrophobic small room with a mold and mildew farm growing well as the bath had no exhaust fan .. Excrement on the hygienic cleaner next to the toilet was a nice bonus and truly sickening .. The next day my driver was basically going to be kicked out as the curt thin man at reception was not willing to help anymore . I left a day early as I did not want any bedbugs coming home to my flat and kept all separate till washed with super hot water and extra soap .. Rarely do I find dumpy places like this on Booking but guess it happens . Be careful in choosing this place ... I would give it zero stars if I could ..

Very nice little boutique hotel! Price is very reasonable - also, it's not a hostel as we would know a hostel in the UK. There are 10 rooms in the hotel, every one of them with private bathroom.||- Breakfast was fresh every day.|- Room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and bed sheets.|- Customer service was brilliant, the reception team was always helpful and nice.|- The room was not super big, but comfortable enough for 2 people (we had a balcony for breakfast).|- Perfect location, next to the museum and gov. Bazaar. Also plenty of restaurants nearby.|- Only downside is that you can hear the traffic from the room, as Egyptians love to honk!|
