A small but interesting museum about ancient settlements on Lake Ohrid. The settlement was discovered in 1997, so it's a fairly recent finding. There are exhibits from daily life on display, and a mock village showing how people may have lived back then. The lake scenery is amazing, and there are remains of a Roman fortress further up from the village. Plenty of parking near the main road, but there is a steep path down to the museum. Kids under 5 go free.

So nice place. We was at Sunday (weekend day),was not crowded, entrance cost 150 denar and you can walk in all territory, there are small archaeological museum are inside and its awesome 👌. Near park a good big parking which totally free,inside have a big coffee machine (automatic) for small amount(cash) u could get a cup of coffee and enjoy a calm atmosphere of a museum and park. Definitely recommend for visit.

it was a rainy day off season but we enjoyed the place as well! great surroundings also if u have kids or not .. to walk have a drink or eat. we didnt stay for long but under other weather circumstances would b ideal!

The entrance fee was 150MKD per foreign person and you can buy it by cash or physical card. If you have not got physical card you can buy it online via a qr code in the door. The fare give you access to the floating museum, a small indoor museum and the Roman fort. It is not something special but you can give it a try. You only need a hour.

The bay of bones museum is my favourite one I've visited! The place is well modelled and if you have a guide (if not you can scan a code to get a digital one) it's even better! So you can understand more of the history 😁

Beautiful and affordable! A must see while around ohrid lake. Make sure to visit before noon so you can find a parking spot and avoid the boat tour crowds that come in around 10am.

Very interesting and well maintained. The site is dog friendly (leashed) you are just required to pick up your dog if you enter the museum. Easy to spend a relaxed hour wandering around. Very picturesque.

Don't be fooled, it's a reconstruction of the original Bronze Age settlement. Yet, neatly done, worth a stroll. For diving enthusiasts, try the scuba diving to see the original underwear village remains. Nice view from the top where once a Roman garrison resided.
