Might be too slow for the kids today but it was nice to slow down soo how imagination can create art out of trash. We really enjoyed the souvenir shop (great selection!) and the cafe which was a nice place to rest after walking around. They had no food except for ice pops but the chocolate banana was great. The

A very interesting art museum which is a great experience for family with children. The interactive part of the exhibition definitely is attractive to children and it opens up dialogue with kids about art and ideas.

It's not really my cup of tea, but interesting. Those interested in "modern art" may find this museum way more enticing than I did. Overall, since I already had the Basel card for 1/2 price admission, I'm glad we visited. A bit outside of my usual zone, but I learned a few things.

A different type of museum. Fun to see the living art. The large moving exhibitions are wonderful to see. Not very large, it can be visited in less tha 2 hours. Within 15 minutes by public transport from city center

Great interactive museum with lots of buttons to press. FYI one a button is pressed and the sculptures move, there's a 15-minute wait before it can be activated again.

If you appreciate or enjoy mechanical devices, you will likely find this place to be AMAZING! 😄 And, even if mechanical things are boring to you, there's still a good chance you will be entertained by Tinguely's creation! He was certainly an eccentric with a powerful aptitude for whimsical connecting electric motors with things that twirl, spin, and clang. Please, it you are in Basel, do yourself a favor and go visit this museum!

Fantastic museum with a wide range of Tingueley exhibits/sculptures as well as modern art from other artists too. Visited on a Thursday evening so entry was free, and enjoyed the free English Tour provided - the tour guide spoke excellent English and provided lots of additional information about the exhibition and artist. The Museum gift shop is also very good, and there are lockers, toilets, and a coffee machine to make use of too. Definitely worth a visit. Tickets were booked in advance but this wasn't necessary.
