Great art collection especially German expressionists! Jawlensky especially and Kirchner, Nolde, Werefkind, loads more. Nicely presented over 3 floors and informatively explained. There's loads more like the brilliantly blackly comic installation The Red Wagon mocks the illusory promises of Soviet communism in the form of a kind of parked-up fairground caravan/attraction. And the art nouveau/jugendstil offering is spectacular from glass to furniture to clocks to artworks including the famous Ophelia. You'll spend at least two hours and that's without the natural history sections. Museum has decent shop plus café. About 10 mins walk from Wiesbaden main station.

Great collection of art from different periods, specially from German artists. The natural history part is very well presented with many stuffed and replicas os animals. The mineral collection is impresive. The Art Deco exhibit is extremely good.

Amazing museum that we stumbled on a first Saturday of the month (free entrance😍)! Diverse range of exhibitions and not too crowded at any one point of time. A must see is the fate of Orphelia exhibition. 💯 recommended.

Wow!! Whoever is running their T. Swift campaign deserves a raise. The little details make the whole experience so special!! The museum was so much larger than we expected too. Although we went for Ophelia, we were blown away by the rest of the museum. Def a must see!!

Great little museum. Lots of different exhibits for everyone and one of the best cafes I’ve visted at a museum.

An extremely diverse museum! Ranging from animals, nature, and physics, to jugendstil and expressionism! It even had some contemporary art, and paid tribute to female artists. At the time of visiting there was a great exposition on bees going on. Combining history and art to give a full experience to all audiences.

Wonderful museum with so much to see. Went specifically to see the Ophelia painting, but thoroughly enjoyed all the other art pieces.

Yelp
I love this museum. They have great programs for kids in German. They will do parties and grips in English. I have brought at least 150 students for English language tours.

Yelp
Smallish modern art museum. Not stroller or wheel chair accessible. Close to downtown. It's okay. If you like Jawlensky you might dig it.
