We stayed at Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels in May 2025 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, made worse by poor communication and unhelpful management.||From the moment we arrived at 12:30 AM, issues began. The in-room phone didn’t work, and though staff promised a fix, nothing was done until we were moved to another room the following day. This meant every request had to be made in person.||Breakfast on our first morning was a mess — we arrived at 9:50 AM (well before the 10:30 AM end time), but were told orange juice and pancakes had run out. Our omelette was mistakenly given to another table, and we ended up leaving without eating before a day trip.||That evening, we asked staff to reheat food at 8:00 PM. It wasn’t returned until 11:45 PM — still cold — after repeated follow-ups. We were then told staff weren't allowed to reheat food at all. When we asked if we could order something instead and be reimbursed, that was also refused.||The same night, someone knocked loudly on our door three separate times around 12:30 AM, waking us up — with no explanation or apology.||On our final day, we waited 50 minutes for a golf cart after calling at 9:15 AM. With a toddler and luggage in the Doha heat, this was unacceptable.||We raised all of these issues with hotel management. Once the managers were informed, we suggested they sit down with us to discuss possible compensation. Unfortunately, this led to more disorganization and poor communication. We returned from a long day visiting family at 11:00 PM, only to be left sitting at the front desk for two hours, waiting for someone to get back to us — with no resolution.||Managers were involved, including a staff member named Elyas, but sadly, none were helpful or proactive. The only offer made was a room upgrade — for the last two hours of our stay. This felt like a token gesture that completely overlooked the extent of the issues we faced.||For a hotel branded as 5-star and affiliated with Qatar Airways, the service and professionalism were far below expectations. We experienced repeated inconvenience, a lack of empathy, and zero accountability. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property and will not return!
