Music City Hot Chicken - North

Delicious chicken sandwiches, fantastic fries catfish, and some of the best mac'n'cheese I've ever had. Great atmosphere and service at both locations, definitely worth visiting again and again. Pick your spice,grab a local beer, and bring your friends, you won't regret it!

To their credit, they have offered to refund my meal, however, free chicken is not the same as great chicken - which is what MCHC has been known for in the past. Sadly, it has fallen far from what it once was. The paper thin tenders they served me and my family tonight were chewy, dry, and flavorless. I will gladly pay for great chicken, but being sold this poor quality at great chicken prices feels like a scam. They are riding on the coattails of the reputation they built 10 years ago, but quality has been in steady decline. I’ve been a regular at the prospect location for years and was excited when the north location opened near my house. Because of their willingness to refund the meal, I’ll give them another chance and update this review. I hope they’re able to redeem this experience.

We LOVE. LOVE. LOOOOVE music city and especially this location! This place is a once a week spot for us, at minimum. The new location is roomy, clean, and has fast, consistent service. The people working there rock and always remember our names. The patio is amazing, and will be a summer staple for us, for sure. Music city is always my first recommendation to people when they are asking for a good, LOCAL restaurant.

We initially really liked this location. We’d come here and they’d ask us if we wanted white or dark meat on our sandwiches. This last time, they did not and my partner was upset when she bit into her sandwich & it was gummy. I talked to the staff, and they were a bit rude and mentioned that “they are a chicken restaurant so everything is temped out by default” in a not so nice way. The cook came out and talked to us at our table when we should’ve just gotten replacement food. They ended up serving her a very dry tender sandwich to make up for it. Bad vibes, won’t return.

I love MCHC, and North is my go-to for takeout. I have to eat gluten- and dairy-free, and their gluten-friendly tenders are both! With those, a side of fries, and their super tasty sauces, I don’t feel like I am missing out on anything and I know I will still be feeling well after eating. So yummy, and doesn’t hurt me.

A second location of one of my Fort Collins favorites? Yes please! This new location of Music City Hot Chicken is close to my work and home and i’m so looking forward to the convenience of takeout. I got to go dinner for my partner and I the du they opened up ordering and it was everything i remembered and loved about the OG spot. Fast, friendly, fried, and fantastic. Cant wait to enjoy the indoor space as soon as theyre finished remodeling. Welcome to North fort collins, MCHC!

I really wanted to like this place, especially given the number of restaurants that have cycled through this location and the limited dining options for us living on the north side of town. During my first visit for a to-go order, my coworker and I discovered that our chicken sandwiches were completely undercooked upon returning to work. To their credit, the staff replaced our meals, but I had to drive back to the restaurant, and by the time the replacements were ready, we were no longer interested in eating. After about a year, I decided to give the restaurant another try. When I entered (through what I believed to be the main door on the front on the building), I waited for guidance at the register since there wasn’t any clear signage. When a staff member finally approached, I mentioned it was my first time dining in and that I wasn’t sure where to start. Their response came across as dismissive and impatient. I tried to overlook it, but the food unfortunately didn’t redeem the experience — the chicken was heavily breaded, dry, and overpriced. I ended up eating only a few bites before discarding the rest. Seems like a cool enough place for the atmosphere if you're a regular, needless to say I haven't been back since and have heard similar experiences from others I have talked to.

Pick order with Gluten Friendly Chicken tenders. Two green chili, and two Nashville hot. Boy oh boy was there Nashville heat in that rub or what!! Whewww I normally get the Nashville and it is a bit mild.. well not today kid’s. The sweet potato fries are the bomb.com!
