Yelp
Oh, Music Plaza. Where do I begin? I've been a customer of Music Plaza from time-to-time ever since my middle school years. I remember shopping at the Koreatown Plaza with my family whenever we would be in the area and my fondest memories at the time were visiting Music Plaza inside the mall, grocery shopping at the market, sitting near the water fountain and throwing pennies in it, and counting the number of pink tiles on the floor with my younger sister. In result, both Music Plaza and Koreatown Plaza as a whole have been a memorable part of my childhood. I remember going into Music Plaza and seeing a lot of '90s K-Pop CDs. I recall buying three CDs here: g.o.d's and Shinhwa's 1st albums and DJ Doc's 4th album. Those were the first K-Pop albums I've ever bought. Fast-forward to my adulthood, I'm still an avid listener and fan of K-Pop. Music Plaza has definitely brought in an influx of customers ever since the growth of Korean pop music and culture became so popularized. My most recent visit to Music Plaza was probably last weekend, after an exam session. Although the products can be quite expensive, it is actually fair. The quality of their products are great and since I'm assuming that the majority of their products are exported from South Korea, it is understandable on why the prices are on the more expensive side of the spectrum. Music Plaza sells many things that range from CDs, DVD box sets, magazines, posters, keychains, stationery, etc. Looking at the comparison on Yelp and just how close the proximity is, Music Plaza is often compared to and rivaled with Choice Music, another K-Pop music store in K-Town. I have visited both stores and both are great.
