Fiji Paradise with wonderfully frayed edges We’ve just finished a wonderful 9-night family stay (kids are 11. 11 & 15) at Musket Cove to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we could not of chosen anywhere better. All of the staff and team at Musket Cove were amazing. From singing us ashore when we arrived, to serenading us (twice!) on our last night. The resort is located in a wonderful cove with crystal blue waters and lots of near shore and deep water activities. From kayaking and SUPs, to learning to sail the Hobie Cat with Dave, to a great scuba team (thanks Solo). We could not have wanted for more. The dolphin trip to the surf breaks (Cloudbreak and Tavarua Island) was a real highlight and that was before the turtles showed up. Our captain (Moses) never stopped looking for dolphin even though none arrived. The resort has a wonderful colonial feel (in a good way) and the fact there is a marina there ensures a diverse array of characters are regularly hanging out for coffee at Traders cafe. Thank you Joelle, Melrose, Solo, Moses, Ruth, Dave, Sam and everyone at Musket Cove.

A wonderful stay on the island of Malolo Lai Lai. A short boat journey from Denaru Island area. |Bungalow clean and spacious and very private. Meals included, always plentiful. Dick’s Bar & Restaurant has a great location and sunsets are incredible. Staff and welcoming and respectful. Small store on site.

Our honeymoon here was excellent. Staff were outstanding and very hospitable. We were stoked with how amazing the food was. The island itself was beautiful and so relaxing with not toooo many kids around! We’ll be back and recommending to all our friends :)

We have just returned from a wonderful 9-night family stay at Musket Cove for our 20th wedding anniversary and could not of picked a better place to stay. ||Situated on Malolo Lai Lai the cover is utter paradise. Crystal clear, warm water and islands in every direction. ||The staff were incredible and could not do enough for you. Special mentions to Solo (scuba instructor), Melrose (entertainment), Joelle (bar), Ruth (activity bure) and Dave (sailing). ||We stayed in a Garden Bure, which was great value. It was a little dated but those things just did not matter when you are hardly in the room. Everything was a 2 min walk. the pool, the restaurants, the activity centre. Perfect!||It is a wonderfully quiet resort and we often had the pool to ourselves. Compared to the nearby Plantation resort (which was noisy and hectic) this was just the relaxing break we needed. ||The scuba centre looked after us well and took us out to a remote reef for a fantastic dive. The free sandbank snorkel was great and the Dolphin Spotting experience was brilliant, yielding turtles but no dolphins. ||The Cultural village tour was also a real highlight. ||Being located with a marina meant that we met some great characters who moored up for the night or longer. This was a real unexpected bonus and an extra highlight. ||The food was good, hot, tasty and varied, with the option of Dicks Place, Traders Cafe or the Island Bar. ||We are seriously considering booking again for next year!

Handsome Joe was an incredibly dedicated and loyal employee — he clearly loves his job and is a real asset to the resort.||Lithey was also fantastic: helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she made our mealtimes both enjoyable and fun.||Miso — nothing was ever a problem, and their service was exceptional.||Our stay at Muscat was overall wonderful. We had some friends staying at the beachside while we were in a two-bedroom villa on the island. Personally, we found the island accommodation a bit too far from the main activity areas.||The food throughout our stay was very good. The massage by the pool was excellent and reasonably priced — highly recommended. We also hired bikes for a day, which was a great way to explore the island.||All transfers were on time and well organised.||Cloud Nine was a great day out and only a short boat ride there and back from Musket. ||One not-to-miss experience is walking out past the island bar to catch the stunning sunset was truly beautiful.||A few minor suggestions for improvement:| • The TV in our villa wasn’t working during our stay. Did mention it to Reception.| • There could have been more beach towels available.||And of course, we loved meeting Ziggy the cat and Stevie the dog was a charming addition to the resort experience!

The stand out here was the genuine friendly staff, over a week period they become like family. Activities were all good and as expected- the beach / lagoon out front is only good half the day when tide is in. However Platation Resort is a 10min walk and is better all day. The resort supplies free water to the rooms daily and there is a well priced supermarket, for day to day items. No need to buy up and bring heaps of stuff over with you. Three locations on site to eat and drink, however only two kitchens, the Yacht Club island bar shares its menu with Trader Cafe. Buffet is different and good daily, traders cafe is very good but same menu everyday. All in all a good spot.

We had an amazing one week stay at Musket Cove, with the staff and the food being second to none! Everyone was so helpful whilst the resort is clean and vibrant wherever you are! Everyone was really friendly and a special mention to Lithey who helped with our romantic dinner to ensure it was the best it could be as well as her warming presence! We would also like to thank the girl who worked the water activities booth as well for not only being extremely helpful throughout but granting her book to myself during our stay after our chat the previous night! The location is great, providing a true and authentic Fijian stay that we cannot recommend enough!
