This is a great resort. The beds were comfortable and the staff was very friendly. My daughter and I got a complimentary room upgrade which was much appreciated. We really enjoyed our time here. We did not golf, however the grounds looked meticulous. The pool was a lot of fun and we enjoyed the hot sauna.

Other than the construction by the main hotel building, the hotel itself was great. Reception was very welcoming and helpful. Shuttle back and forth from hotel to clubhouse was a huge plus too! Pool was nice, although much smaller than expected based off online photos. Personally think the tiling needs a good revamp. Giving this a 4 star only because the parking situation sucked so bad. Very very tight spaces, 1 misaligned vehicle and its next to impossible fitting in beside them. Domino effect that to the whole lot. So yeah, 5 stars on everything, -1 star for the parking catastrophe. Still worth coming back!

Course is in great shape, and staff were super friendly. Only criticism would be the food, was slightly under par for the price (no pun intended). Aside from that it's a must play if you're in the area, and worth the trip if you aren't

We had our wedding at Muskoka Bay Resort in Gravenhurst, and it was truly everything we had hoped for—and more. From the breathtaking location to the exceptional staff, every detail was handled with care and professionalism. We had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth Dunn directly through the entire wedding planning. On the day of the wedding, the staff were incredibly kind, organized, and attentive. Everything ran so smoothly, and we received countless compliments from our guests on how well-executed the entire day was. Their professionalism really allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the moment. The food was absolutely incredible—every course was delicious and beautifully presented. Our guests are still raving about it! The on-site hotel was also magnificent. The rooms were bright, spacious, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for getting ready and capturing beautiful wedding portraits. It was also so convenient for our guests, especially with the villas just a short distance away. We also want to give a big shoutout to the shuttle team, who worked tirelessly all weekend transporting guests between the villas, hotel, and clubhouse. They were so friendly and efficient, and their efforts made the whole experience that much smoother for everyone. If you’re considering Muskoka Bay Resort for your wedding, we can’t recommend it enough. The setting is stunning, the team is top-notch, and it truly was the perfect place to celebrate such a special day.

Arrival at this hotel was very pleasant and quick. Our room on the second floor was pleasant and with two bedrooms allowed us flexibility. The bedrooms themselves with queens beds were tight with little space and although there were wardrobes in each room and another in the hallway there were no drawers for smaller items. |The hotel is used by self catering vacationers who seem in the main to be shorter stays so this may not be an issue for them. Longer stayers like ourselves found this to be a bit irritating. |The hotel is located on a golf course and our room allowed us to view the last green tees. |Perhaps the biggest issue was the building work next to our room. The complex is expanding and a new hotel complex is being built and due to be finished in the autumn of 2025. It looks as if it will be a great addition. |The complex restaurant is situated away from the building but a complimentary shuttle service is provided for the short journey. The views from the restaurant are quite stunning.

I'm Asian, and when I asked the front desk about the stove not working, the staff member replied, “maybe you don’t know how to use the stove.” I found this remark dismissive and offensive, as it came across as racially insensitive. In addition, some shuttle service staff did not help us with our golf bags, and the room had visible food stains on the table upon arrival. These experiences made the stay feel unwelcoming and below the standard I expected. However the infinity pool and the golf were great.

This is a BEAUTIFUL resort with kind, accommodating staff, gorgeous scenery, and top notch amenities and rooms. My husband and I checked in for our honeymoon at our original hotel, which turned out to be a disaster. We called Muskoka Bay after finding them online, and we were able to stay there instead. We left our original very disappointing hotel and arrived to Muskoka Bay, where a gift was left in our room for our marriage, and had a Mercedes shuttle take us to a fine dining restaurant on site overlooking the golf course. The staff, especially Jonathon, were incredibly accommodating. Our room was essentially a nicely updated condo with a view of the golf course. The course and putting greens were beautiful and meticulously maintained. The pool and poolside area are gorgeous, and beyond clean - staff check the pool water quality multiple times a day in front of you! They also have a fire pit and free smores kits to enjoy. The amount of little details the resort has is a testament to their quality. We could not recommend Muskoka Bay more, and will absolutely be visiting again multiple times.

This resort deserves a special shoutout for its outstanding service! Every single staff member we interacted with during our weekend getaway went above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. From thoughtful touches throughout our stay to the high level of care and professionalism from every staff member was truly exceptional. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We were at the friends' cottage in Muskoka and they invited us to Muskoka Bay club. Really beautiful golf course, very well maintained. Though, it's one of the most expensive golf courses in Ontario, there are few of the same quality but cheaper alternatives nearby. I guess people who have cottages in Muskoka can afford playing in thus club... We were visiting mid-week and it was two days before they were closing for the season, so there were not too many people even though the weather was perfect. The star attraction for me was the restaurant, the lamb was delicious but everything was seriously overpriced.

Yelp
For an upscale restaurant I have to say this was the worst experience ever & I wouldn't return. I will start with what was good, our server was nice, friendly & patient. we were a group of 9. we ordered drinks to start & shortly after getting our drinks she took our order. we arrived at 6pm & by 740 we still didn't have our dinner. Our server had gone for a second round of drinks as we still waited for our meal. it was probably another 10-15 mins after when our food arrived. One of our friends sent his fish back as it was not to his liking. someone did come & offer him something while he waited but he declined figuring it wouldn't be long before his food was back. We all finished our meal & were ordering dessert & his meal was still not brought out. At no point did anyone tell him the status of his meal. When the server was taking desser orders he asked and she said I thought it was coming out $ then was told No. There was no other explanation given, no apology or anything. He just didn't get his meal. As for mine, when you may $14 for potatoes you expect the to be hot when they were only lukewarm. I ordered my beef tenderloin medium rare but it was more like rare/blue. I was able to eat some before it was too rare for my liking. I was afraid to send it back seeing my friend had no meal. When you pay good money for a meal you expect to a) get it& b) that it would be hot and delicious not just fine. There was no excuse either it wasn't super busy or anything. Anyway, I would think twice before I go there again.

Yelp
Heard lots about it so stopped in during thanksgiving. Temperature was perfect and the course not too busy. There was no GPS- bummer - but maybe that has something to do with the area. I'm a big fan of these Canadian Shield courses so partly biased. Be ready for very long carries off the blue and a fair number of blind shots. The cart girl had the most beautiful blue eyes and they delivered food on the course likely because it was slow. Had the best hamburg since Bugers Priest. Watch the corner between 8 and 9 if it's damp - you could be in for a swim. The 9th is a resplendent hole with a unique green entrance and possibly the best hole on the course. If it wasn't so far from Toronto I'd play it again.

Yelp
Played this course for the first time today and it is stunning! Beautifully maintained, wonderful service and all in all and great experience. Highly recommend.
