Located by the swimming pool, the restaurant patio seats offers a very nice view of the lake. On the first day we checked in (June 17), the staff was very courteous and it was nice to see every one of them wearing a mask. The prices are abit pricey for the portion you get which is to be expected considering it a restaurant owned by the resort. The truffle fries/sauce was our favorite, however we noticed when we ordered a takeout for it, the portion was significantly larger than the dine in one. It did make us feel ripped off considering the dine in portion was much smaller.
The next couple of times we came afterwards, we didn't have as much of an enjoyable time since our server wasn't the best, plus I noticed the sudden increased price changes on the menu. For the weekends, we had an Indian man serving us, but we were very uncomfortable because he wasn't wearing his mask properly for the last couple of times he served us. His mask was covering only a bit of his mouth. He wasn't willing to help us take a photo as he said it was company policy, however my aunt who had another server said they got a photo with no issues. The waiter also didn't remind us there were free beverages included with the kids meal, and a lot of servers I've had would ask "what drink would you like with it?". Either he wasn't knowledgeable about the menu or he didn't bother asking as all. The other server got on Monday June, 20 was a younger man, and although he was polite, he seemed very lost. There were times he forgot certain dishes (one wasn't even made but he didn't check up on it), and forget to give the necessary utensils needed for us to eat. We had to keep on hassling and asking about our dishes and utensils which was quite unpleasant considering this was supposed to be a nice restaurant.
In terms of food, we noticed from the last couple of times ordering the kids salmon, the portion significantly gotten smaller in comparison the first time we ordered it. The dishes take way too long to come out, even for ice cream we had to wait over 20 mins. They were literally just scoops and a simple cookie sandwich which should take only 5 mins or less to make. On the last day (June 23), we ordered takeout, and as usual, the food took almost an hr to come out, and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Not only did they take long to make, we were either missing food, or the food wasn't made properly. My aunt ordered a muskoka salad, and there was barely anything inside it except the vegetable (little sauce and toppings), in comparison to the dine in version. We had to run back and forth to make a complaint and to ask about missing items we asked for.
Overall, if you have a choice, don't dine in unless you want a headache. If you want to order, just take out the truffle fries as it's the only thing that was really worth the price. It's better to just bring your own groceries and cook in your room.
