Muslibegovic House

Loved our stay at Muslibegovic House! Both our hostesses were incredibly welcoming and personable. Breakfast was great and the tour included in your stay is brief but informative and interesting. The building is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. Would easily come back if I am ever lucky enough to visit Mostar again.

Very friendly reception in this lovely authentic Ottoman mansion, one of the two best preserved in the Balkan, sleeping in authentic, quaint rooms. A 10’ stroll to the landmark bridge of Mostar. Good breakfast served on the terrace. Attractive place for those looking for authenticity (with a surprising level of comfort). Parking available.

Nice to see an ottoman style house but it takes 5 minutes to see everything and it costs 3 EUR per person. Open 11-17:00. Beautiful but not really worth. Most rooms are hotel guest rooms and you can’t go in the second building because it’s for guests

An elegant and unique way to experience Mostar. Authentic and comfortable, this graceful house is conveniently located in the city with easily accessible paid parking. Breakfast was nice, too. Very much appreciated the attentive and friendly staff.

The hotel is a museum as well, and you can tour the home/hotel even if you are not a guest. We were welcomed by a delightful lady, and all staff members were similarly enthusiastic and kind. It is located in a quiet more residential area of town, about a 10-12 minute walk to the famous Mostar bridge. Breakfast was very nice, with a good selection of options. There is a nice private courtyard with a covered arbor if you want to sit outdoors and relax. This merits strong consideration for your stay in Mostar.

An oasis in the Mostar sun. It is a beautifully restored Ottoman building serves as a reminder of how this area once was. Everyone working here has been great to us and clearly have pride in the place they work. Our room was beautiful although some oil in the bathroom door joints would have made the experience even better.

We didn’t stay here but visited the museum. It was extraordinary to be able to walk into a living Ottoman house. I was amazed how well the interior design reflected that era.

This beautifully preserved home of an old Muslim landowning family also functions as a museum. The rooms are very atmospheric rather than comfortable, being small and perhaps a little too traditional, but they were fun to experience for a couple of nights. The huge pluses of our stay were the delightful courtyard gardens, still tended by the current head of the Muslibegovic family, who waters the roses every evening. We found the pleasantly informal hospitality offered by hotel manager Gabi put us at ease and the cool walled gardens provided a serene refuge after sightseeing in the heat.
