A unique museum experience in a 15th century building complex. I think it would be an entertaining and enriching visit for families with kids. Very broad spectrum of artifacts are on display and the visiting experience is rather informative. The collection includes but not limited to artificial organ, tissue and skeletal models, and real organ samples prepared with plastination as well as medical instrumentation and prosthetic devices.

Great little and focused museum building on Padua's history of medical research. Interesting exhibits with mixture of text to read, some interaction and some nicely acted video introductions to each room. Very accessible in English with the exception of the final large model cadaver - would be great to get surtitles for that room or the ability to switch language. It's such an eye catching exhibit it was a shame not to be able to engage with it. Nice little shop with some fun t-shirts. Definitely recommended and can see it working for all ages.

Thought this was a fantastic museum. Informative, interesting, fun, and interactive. Saw some reviews that there was a lack of English translations but we thought there were only a few things without translations and they didn't impact on the overall experience or learning about the history of medicine. The main texts are fully in English on cards, the excellent videos have subtitles, the interactive parts are all in English as an option, most exhibits have English labels. And nowadays, just switch on Google translate if you want. 2 adults, two children 13&15, all of us gave MUSME a solid 5 stars. My son's only complaint was we dragged him out before he could top a leaderboard on one of the games.

(Written from the perspective of a tourist) The museum was very interesting, but was not very well advertised. Some of the displays had an information card in English, but these seemed to be shorter than the information in Italian, so I feel like we missed out on a lot of information. Also, the were lots of books on display, but these had no English counterpart, so again we could not appreciate them fully. The price was a little steep, and if it was reduced slightly I imagine a lot more people would want to visit. It was extremely quiet when I visited. My partner and I practically had the place to ourselves.

I visited the museum as I like to know about the human biology and the working behind it. It has a detailed history about how anatomy has developed, evolving from the four humours theory to the one we have today. The tools that the scientists used in those days plus their 'operating theatre' too. But I would want to say that the museum does lack some English translations for certain areas. But aside from that it is a pleasure to visit the museum and check out the medical history that it houses. I would recommend it.

MUSME is a brilliantly designed and highly interactive museum that brings the history of medicine to life. Set in a beautiful historic hospital, it blends old instruments and medical artefacts with modern technology and storytelling. Touchscreens, games, and immersive displays make even complex topics feel engaging and accessible. It’s perfect for curious adults, teens, and even kids — we learned a ton and had fun doing it. The exhibitions cover everything from anatomy and plague history to the evolution of hospitals in Padua. A must-see if you’re visiting the city, especially if you enjoy science, history, or museums with a twist.

The museum is disappointing under several counts: rooms are often poorly lit, making it difficult to read the texts; the texts are often written with small fonts and many words have missing characters (something easy to fix, but apparently the organization does not care about it); the texts are often unnecessarily verbose and in some cases they also seemed outdated (e.g. we are over 8 billion humans, not 7 as stated in a temporary exhibition hosted by the museum)…. I could continue. My visit was partly spoiled by a large group of young visitors (guided by adults) who would shout rather than talk, including a girl in a particularly altered state… I am amazed that no MUSM personnel called for a minimum of respect for other visitors. I add an example of poorly displayed text, quite hard to read.

A museum that tell you in a nice modern way how medicne was developed in Padua since 1200s till now. It is so recommended to accompany your kids in the tour. There are many interesting games.
