It started off so well, We picked a table in the window with great views. How rapidly it went down hill. I asked for a G+T before the bottle of wine and was told not possible unless I went downstairs where the bar was, so we decided not to bother. The staff who were all dressed like they were ready to sign on unemployment benefits, then took our order which was very prompt and without a smile. Starters of meat/cheese croquettes and somewhat of potato and egg mush which both came out cold. Then to top it off, when the steak came out, we had to cook it ourselves, on a griddle. The location and and setting is perfect..... let down by incompetence.

Hotel is great but restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Staff are terrible. So rude. The steak came and the stone to cook it on didn't come out until 10 minutes later even though we asked 2 waiters for it. 3 items on the menu were not available. We had to get up from the table to go order a beer. Would not go back to the restaurant.

the most unkind staff I had ever encountered. we had to change three tables for some reason. when we got menues on english, the waiter couldn't understand what we wanted to order, so he got us spanish menues. the whole time he was acting as if we were bothering him, at one moment we even murmured ,,madre". out of 7 or 8 sushis they had on the menu, only two were available, and he had a lot of difficulties trying to explain it to us, even tho we know basic spanish.

This place is astonish. Spend the weekend in one of their rooms with a fantastic see view. You can see the colours of the raisin sun early morning. We had dinner down in their restaurant, at the round bar, where the chef cooks in front of you. Everything we had was nice and very tasty. The staff was kind and helpful. After our dinner we went one floor down again, and sat in the club, Entre dos Aguas, had the house gin and tonic, with ice with fresh fruit, and enjoyed the music and the proximity to the see. This place is fantastic to enjoy the last hours of the sun late afternoon. Don’t miss it if you go to PEÑÍSCOLA, it’s right at the bottom of the castle.

We have been here several times in previous years. In the summer of 2016 we had an unforgettable experience here partly because of the host of the restaurant, he organized everything excellently. The food was great.Recently (Sept 2022) we had dinner here again. While eating we got the feeling that the staff wanted to close. We received the bill without being asked, which gave us the feeling of leaving. The food was also mediocre, except for the fish. This restaurant is no longer the level it once was. Nice place with nice view.

Best views but noisy and uncomfortable. Set against the medieval wall in the north beach of peñiscola, the hotel has breathtaking views of both the castle and the beach. Rooms 103 and 203 are corner rooms and get the best views. It literally feels as if you are floating on water. BUT: there is no elevator. Walls are so thin you can actually talk to your neighbours as if they were in the same room. To top it all of, the hotel has a chill club that plays music until 02:00 am. The restaurant has a modern touch and although not cheap is pretty good. Breakfast on the other hand is really basic and is a bit dull. The room itself is quite outdated. You are charged €20 a night for an extra bed Staff in the restaurant area were really nice but not so much at reception.

Restarant has great setting next to sea. Beautiful views. Dining experience and service was not great, starters good. Main course poor, burnt food and overcooked fish. Forgot to serve desserts. Disappointing.
