We went in with no expectations and left genuinely impressed. The exhibitions were beautifully presented. And yes, the meeting with Monet did take place.

This museum is particularly recommended for those interested in Polish contemporary art. The collection of abstract paintings, sculptures, figurative art, and experimental works is also fascinating. Personally, I enjoy landscapes and portraits, but I was particularly impressed by the exhibition detailing the process of restoring damaged artworks.

Nice museum, it does not take long to visit the three floors, approx 90 minutes. Some breathtaking sculptures, the Monet wasn't the highlight, it's actually quite hidden.

I love this place. Very quiet Anne and peaceful. Prices are reasonable. There is a small gifts gift shop where you can buy some books also for children, magnets, postcards games and stationary, T-shirts and bags. There is also a restaurant. It's divided on modern art and the upper floor with Polish art from 17th to 19th century, which I recommend to visit.

This is a must for any art lover visiting Poznan! The collection is huge, we spent about 3 hours even with some of the exhibitions being closed. We particularly enjoyed the Polish modern art exhibitions, which are world-class.

Chełmoński at the National Museum Poznań? Pure visual thunder. Wild skies, mad horses, soul punched straight through the canvas. Go now – your eyeballs will thank you later.

The museum’s collection is truly exquisite, with a rich variety of works spanning from classical to modern art. It felt as though we were time travelers, genuinely listening to the stories that the masters of each era have shared with us through their artistic creations. Additionally, I’d like to mention something special. I was traveling with my cat, and the security staff at the entrance were very friendly. Initially, he suggested that we carry the cat carrier in front of us so that our cat could accompany us into the museum, but this was kindly declined by other staff. However, the security guard then led us to the storage area where we could temporarily leave the cat. When we returned, the staff was very kind and handed our cat back to us. When we were leaving, that same gentleman came over to check if our cat was doing well. It was such a heartwarming gesture. We sent our sincerest blessings to him and his two cats.

Wonderful art museum of local and other European art. As of this posting they are free on Saturday, get here early to avoid the groups that come in. It is huge with many levels. Bring your reading glasses, the plaques are small and for some reason the lighting on a lot of the paintings is oddly placed so you may have to do some head tilting to look at the find details. Gift shop is very small.
