My Place Hotel

Came here after a bad experience at original hotel booked, around the corner. Luckily they had a room available. Great and friendly help at front desk. As is usually with eu hotels the rooms are small, and using cracked windows for air. So many spots nearby for dining, drinks, coffee. A laundromat nearby as well. Quaint little hotel and lovely.

This little hotel is just a hidden gem. Value for money. Clean and nicely decorated. Nothing was worn out, even the showerhead worked perfectly 😉||It's situated in a quiet and central area with only a few hundred meters to food, transportation and shopping.||The staff were very serviceminded and welcoming. You can check in at all hours as you receive a code to gain access to the keys by the door.||You can reserve a parking space in a nearby parkinghouse (for a fee) we were happy we did.||We can highly recommend this hotel. NB our room is the standard room

Great location, clean rooms, quiet area despite being in the 'party area' of Hamburg. Reason for the 4/5 service stars is that the breakfast is very simple (if you opt for it), and I need far more than a boiled egg and 3 pieces of buttered bread to survive until lunch time. Fortunately, there is a great bakery 100m down the road on the walk to the S-Bahn!

Amazing couple of nights stay here. Lovely ethos. Free tea. Rooms are clean and exactly all you need. There's a good concern about sustainability in the hotel which is important! Lovely receptionist who will do anything to make your stay a delight. We view My Place as a home away from home x

Location of hotel was really fine for me because I had a meeting in neighborhood. Street is quiet enough in rather noisy and cheerful part of town. Hotel from outside doesn't look like one. Young lady at the reception was super kind and super friendly. Also, young girl at the breakfast. Room and bathroom were clean and with the concept. Room was with two beds and with furniture for two teenage girls. Everything in pink and cute. I had kind of doubts but after all it was funny. Breakfast is basic but also with concept of domestic and wide variety of homemade marmalades and fresh bread. There is no elevator in the house and no tv channel with champions league.

Adorable place in the Schanzenviertel. Makes you feel like home. They have a very nice selection of tea, breakfast is great if you have a sweet tooth, the selection of home made marmalades is quite incredible. The rooms are clean, spacious enough, WiFi is a bit spotty, but fine for sending/receiving emails. Rooms on the ground floor are on the street level and can get noisy. Staff is helpful and there is a big stand with information leaflets. Quite a big choice of bars and little cafes in the vicinity.

I like it very much! And i know many different kind of hotels in Hamburg. This is the best! I have been here over 4 times! Great place to stay, rooms super clean and all amenities available. Reception very helpful, small breakfast area for a quick bite. They have interesting postcards and magnets from local artists very interesting. If you are looking to stay around Schanze @ Hamburg do stay here.

Really great value for a really beautiful boutique hotel in a very cool area... I reserved one of the bigger suite rooms (apartment sized) for my short stay in Hamburg and was absolutely blown away. It was HUGE. Really more of an apartment with a separate bedroom, living room, dining area, bar area, huge terrace with sun chairs, small galley kitchen and a super clean bathroom. All the decor was extremely updated and modern, really well done. Seriously...after staying in a lot of strange places this summer, "My Place" really was an oasis. They are a bit old school in terms of booking and payments. You book via email (though they get back to you quickly!) and when I reserved I wasn't even asked to lay down a credit card. Hmmm, strange...I thought. I actually wasn't even asked for a credit card until I checked out. Now of course I am extremely trustworthy, would not cancel last minute (they actually have SEVEN DAY cancellation policy, FYI) or ruin anything in the rooms...but I have to think there is a reason 99 percent of hotels require a credit card for security. My Place doesn't...it didn't affect me adversely of course, just pointing it out. The breakfast is served on the top floor (4th) overlooking the roofdeck with a nice view. However I found the breakfast to be a bit bland and for 8 euros, you can easily skip just a block down the street to Cafe Unter Linden for a really nice spread. If it were included, would've been great...but I wouldn't say the extra 8 euros is a good value. Also, in the room you must pay for each nespresso cup used (1 euro), which I found strange given how nice everything was. Has there been nespresso abuse in the past? Overall though, a really wonderful experience and I would definitely stay again. The rooms are pristine, the area is beautiful (easily reached by s-bahn from central station or hamburg airport) and the quiet side street offers a nice respite. The staff was friendly and this boutique hotel is a winner! *free and easy wifi as well. My Place, indeed.
