On the Grid : My Street Food

"With all the classics in tow, My Street Food (MSF) is the place to go if you’re after Vietnamese. Only open for lunch, everything is so well priced it almost feels like you’re ripping them off. If it’s hot outside, cool down with one of their coconut juices – ‘tis hella-refreshing, and goes so well with their bánh mì." - Josephmark

Absolutely incredible! Hands down the best Banh Mi I’ve ever had – anywhere in Australia. I tried the grilled pork first (so tasty!) and then the crispy pork belly… wow! Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and seriously addictive. The crispy fried rice is a hidden gem – totally unique and bursting with flavour. Warm, welcoming, and full of heart — you’re treated like family the moment you walk in. The owner and Ana are absolute legends and make the experience unforgettable. Can’t wait to return. This place is a total gem — a must-visit!

Like a banh mi straight out of Vietnam. This was the best banh mi I’ve had since being in Vietnam. Bread was fresh, crispy and soft inside. The filling was great. Wait wasn’t too long, didn’t try anything else this time. I will be back to try other dishes soon though

Service was super quick but the food was so-so. The crispy pork banh mi was good and I like that they add pate, but maybe I had too high expectations because the banh mi is supposedly the best in Brisbane.

Loved the signature MSF BBQ Pork Bánh Mì at My Street Food! The BBQ pork was perfectly grilled and coated in their chef’s special sauce—smoky, sweet, and packed with flavour. This place is a true gem for authentic Vietnamese street food with a gourmet twist. Can’t wait to come back!

I have lived in VIC, NSW, QLD and this is definitely the best BahnMi in the Eastern states, if not in Australia. Fried Rice and vermicelli salad are also amazing. If you are keen with other menu, believe me, you cant go wrong here. Finish off with the Vietnamese iced coffee. 👌🏽 The couple owner, Anna & Kahn, and also the rest of the crew are super friendly and nice. However, if you come during lunch time, be prepared for a long queue. PS: customers are allowed to park inside the Quest Apartment guest parking area. Just drive in and go to underground.

Dropped in with a group of four on a Saturday evening. The place was busy, which seemed like a good sign. We got seated pretty quickly, but service felt a bit rushed as they were trying to flip tables fast. I ordered the beef pho, which came out hot and looked great, but it lacked the bold flavour I usually expect. The herbs on the side were a bit wilted too. My friend had the lemongrass chicken rice and enjoyed it because of nice balance of flavour and good texture. Drinks were overpriced for what you get. One thing I’ll mention that is the space gets loud when it’s packed, so not ideal if you’re after a quiet catch-up. Staff weren’t rude, but they weren’t particularly warm either. We didn’t feel rushed out, but we didn’t feel welcomed either. Might give it another go during lunch hours to see if it’s more chill then. Not bad, just room to improve.

Cute, casual Vietnamese place - great spot for a quick lunch. The pork rice paper rolls were pretty good and the lemongrass chicken vermicelli salad was yum too. The vegetables could have been pickled more and I found the portion relatively small. The highlight was the crispy pork fried rice. The pork was very tender and well seasoned with a perfectly crunchy crackling. The fried rice had great "wok hay". Service was quick and friendly.

You can tell straight away these guys genuinely care, not just about the food, but about people. The team here is incredibly warm and welcoming, and you get the sense they have strong relationships not just with regular customers, but even with neighbouring businesses. The food is consistently fresh, flavour-packed, and fast, but it’s the vibe that keeps you coming back. It feels local, authentic, and like they’ve got your back. Proper community-first energy. Highly recommend dropping in, whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, you’ll be treated like a regular.

Yelp
I work in an office in Coorparoo which is filled to the brim with ravenous tummy's every weekday from around 12pm. The usually polite and mild-mannered bunch can turn instantly into a pack of raging monsters foaming at the mouth and arguing about where to bring our lunchtime business as we lament the limited options available in the vicinity. It was with great relief one weekday lunchtime that I discovered My Street Food Vietnamese existed. With the promise of fresh authentic dishes direct from Vietnam I bundled my colleagues into a car and drove the 2 minutes down the road to the little store-front. We have been back many, many times since that fateful day and it has now become an accepted part of our lunchtime repertoire. M.S.F Chicken Crispy Fried Rice has become the undisputed favourite of the entire office space. The melt-in-your-mouth chicken doused heavily in an aromatic marinade coupled with the crunchy rice and sweet cucumber and carrot slivers is a match made in heaven. We all feel fresher after eating this particular dish, and even the most decadent of the group will often choose it over a heavier fast-food option. The Vermicelli Salad with Lemongrass Pork comes a firm second in the lunch-time line-up. The pork is always soft and tender and couples beautifully with the flat rice noodles and lettuce, cucumber and herb salad. When comparing this dish to the version at Gabba Takeaway the My Street Food option is always nicer with a better quality cut of pork and far less sinewy, fatty bits. The store itself is an exercise in bright, clean functionality. A team of workers bustle behind the counter brimming with fresh ingredients and pre-made rice paper rolls. Phone orders are encouraged, and there is a convenient car spot right out the front for dash-and-carry lunchtime pick-ups. The prices are reasonable with most dishes under $10 and it won't tax your health either. I highly recommend this local gem for takeaway options. It's a pity they don't open for fast and healthy dinner inspiration, but I'll take what I can get.

Yelp
We came back here to try the banh mi - and they were fantastic. Fresh crusty baguette spread with pate and mayonnaise, filled with carrot, cucumber, fresh coriander, and your choice of meat and/or chilli. My husband and I shared the crispy pork belly and the fire breath beef (chilli and lemongrass). It was just wonderful!!

Yelp
The banh mi (pork roll) is the bomb! Crispy bread, freshly grilled pork, and a special Mayo/pate? AND it's decently priced! The staff are super nice and service is quick. So glad I live around the corner!
