The food is very good and flavorful. The service is friendly as well. The lady who has run the place is retiring on April 11th, though, so it will be under new management then. I've eaten there many times through the years, and I have always enjoyed the food.

Google
im Thai Im highly recomment Namtok . so hard for me to find real THAI TASTE . Finally I found here . Love lunch combo reasonable price , Pad Thai noodle just so perfect , this place going to be my new favorite Thai restuarant .

Google
I wasn’t expecting much considering the location and look of this place, but I was pleasantly surprised! The thai fried rice is some of the best I’ve ever had. The massaman and spring rolls were also delicious. The beef stir fry was too spicy for my taste, but my boyfriend absolutely loved it. The owner was so sweet and helpful, even though she did have us switch tables because their custodian needed to mop. I’ll definitely come back here soon!!

Google
The service was outstanding, especially Morgan. My girlfriend invited me, and as someone picky about food, I was impressed. The pineapple fried rice with chicken was too spicy for my taste, but Morgan and her colleague quickly saved the day. They graciously redid the dish, added extra rice and soda, and made us feel truly pampered. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to return. Delicious and healthy!

Google
Cafeteria style lunch special. TONS of food. I had the panag curry and basil beef. Curry was ok, the beef was definitely my favorite. All orders come with rice or noodles or mixed. Very clean and friendly staff. Recommend the mango and sticky rice for a nice treat. Parking is a bit tricky during lunch rush.

Google
I’ve been a a few times. The service is always quick and kind. They brought us extra mango for the sticky rice. The food is always super tasty. The prices very reasonable. The space is clean and has lots of seating. The location is fairly convenient as it is not too far from the 13th south I-15 exit. I definitely recommend.

Sweet workers and the famous Mrs . Dee also took a break to come out and meet her customers. I’m enjoying these delicious generous portions in my hotel- I will come back every time I’m here in SLC!

Google
So happy they’re open again on Saturday, their new Pho My Thai was very delicious, good portion for the price and has so much flavor and aroma.

Yelp
WOW! The vibe is 80s brushed in with movie posters and memorabilia. The food is delicious, from the pineapple fried rice to the curry to the chicken satay to the mango sticky rice...Our host was interesting and demonstrated that this family business works hard to do everything well and their success is our enjoyment. Thank you for giving our lives meaning today! - Angie and Andy

Yelp
One of the best Thai restaurants in the area (and I grew up eating Thai food as a Thai American). They have a great lunch special where they serve you huge portions, honestly it's enough food to share among two people. They have delicious Lahb Gai, Nam Tok, Yellow Curry, and more. I personally am not a big noodle person (but have tried pad see ew which is pretty good considering we're in Utah), and prefer other unique dishes like the Nam Tok. The service is great and served by sweet staff members. It's great to support local businesses like these. The place is small, and not a fancy restaurant, but the customer service is excellent.

B. G.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE this thai food. Especially the team and pad thai. Some of the best I've had!!

Allison H.

Yelp
Large portion size and yummy, inexpensive food. You can dine in or order take out. A very polite woman (owner?) prepared our order and kindly thanked us for supporting her business. It was a very sweet moment. It seems like this place is popular for lunch as there is a lunch special.

Jamie P.

Yelp
We ordered some food as takeout to pick up on our way from the airport after a full day of travel. Online ordering was such a bonus. Order was done quickly, and it was delicious! Our favorites were the fried rice with tofu, chicken satay, and the pineapple curry. Portions are VERY generous, we could have fed 4 people from just the two orders.

Keith B.

Yelp
The orange chicken is my favorite! Their lunch special is always . The staff is always kind and sweet!

Mike F.

Yelp
The food smells and taste delicious as it's being cooked. Definitely more than five stars when you hear you gotta say hi to the owner and her daughter Elizabeth. Food is dope

Gerald J.

Yelp
I ordered the flat rice noodles with shrimp. Nothing had any flavor or any floral tones or wonderful Thai flavors. The only flavor was the overwhelming chili dust, although I ordered it at spice level 2 of 5. I tossed it into the dumpster, and I hope that it does not start a fire. Is there any good Thai food in Salt Lake City?

Dustin D.

Yelp
The people we friendly, personable, and kind here. Love that it's a small family working together. Seemed to know everyone's name and genuinely care. The food didn't have as much flavor (especially the noodles) as I was hoping. Left some to be desired. The ambiance felt like half soup kitchen/cafeteria and half restaurant. Just different. Overall it was friendly, food was just decent, portions were plenty, and if I was in the area I try something different. But it left a lot to be desired.

Judd G.

Yelp
WEAK! Not only was the dish I ordered expensive (ordered of menu, not lunch special) but it was no better than raw tofu thrown in the curry sauce and heated up. I was served the main dish in a ceramic bowl, but the rice was served in a paper bowl, and I was given a paper plate to eat off of. The atmosphere is dull and food is shuffled between the 2 kitchens through the main dining area. Service was meh, with paper plates and plastic silverware, the restaurant does not take pride in the food they are serving and it was just not the same place it used to be when the grandma was cooking in the back and the daughter prepped and worked the cash register. I was disappointed and will likely not go back unless it is a last resort option.

Meli A.

Yelp
This is literally the worst Thai food I have had in my entire life. Service is bizarre and I barely ate just enough to stave off my hunger. I wouldn't feed this food to a dog or another other human being.

Marika C.

Yelp
We came here for the lunch special and it was really good! The portions were big and everything tasted great. The fried spring rolls were delicious and I ended up going back for more.

Monica G.

Yelp
Great food and super friendly employees. This place never disappoints. They are keeping tables empty and providing hand sanitizer because of Covid. This time we got the Massaman Curry, the Pineapple Curry and the Pad Thai. Everything was delicious! They are using disposable plates and utensils because of Covid.

Ian B.

Yelp
Spectacular authentic, fresh Thai food. So many places use ketchup for their pad Thai sauce, but this place uses tamarind, as it should be done. Everyone there was so friendly. We accidentally stayed until after they were closed and nobody gave any sign that we were inconveniencing them or that we should leave. It's so rare to find a place where both the quality of food and the hospitality rise so far beyond expectation.

Mark S.

Yelp
Great food, super fast service! Spring rolls are fantastic, as is everything we tried. When you want good Thai food without the wait of a more traditional restaurant, then go to My Thai.

Warren W.

Yelp
I was a little skeptical about a Thai restaurant in Salt Lake City being in a small building. OMG this place cranks out good flavored dishes. I can't express enough the taste here. If you love Thai food I promise you won't be disappointed. Oh and the spring rolls I could eat a pan of. Enjoy

matthew e.

Yelp
This is the best place I have been to that serves Pad Thai in slc and I am from Southern California. Extremely friendly and the food reminds me of home. The store is small and friendly and has a good atmosphere. Sorry for no pics of the actual food I just had to put it in my stomach.

Holly C.

Yelp
Been going here for over 10 years. Hands down the best Thai food in Utah. The owner Dee is the nicest lady. Love a woman owned business! The staff here is friendly. I love everything on the menu. The food comes out piping hot!!! So fresh!

Sean R.

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick lunch, and the Lunch Combo is bomb. You get rice and/or noodles and an egg roll and choice of two entrees, it is cafeteria style. I really enjoyed the Pineapple Curry. They also have a la carte items and cooked to order entrees, but they lunch special is where the value is at in my opinion, and you can be eating your meal within a minute of walking in the door. While I was there, I saw many people that looked like regulars, and the old lady who I assume was the owner knew many of the customers by name, which is always a good sign. The interior is pretty minimal with lots of tile and not very cozy, but a great stop for a quick bite.

Vincent F.

Yelp
Owner is the most wonderful person I ever meet! The food is so good and they have a great lunch buffet. Very clean and friendly.

Jason N.

Yelp
While not the fanciest spot in town, what it lacks in ambiance is made up with great food and friendly service. I usually come at lunch and have the special. You get a choice of two entree items and rice or noodles along with a fried spring roll. The basil beef is a good choice. Nice level of heat with great flavors. Another favorite are the fresh spring rolls. Shrimp, basil, rice noodles, and other veg make a great refreshing appetizer. I've tried the pad Thai and it's good without being overly sweet like some places. All the entrees are customizable heat/spice wise. I usually go with medium. The owner is on site most all the time and is very friendly. It feels good to support a small business.

Kristie L.

Yelp
We used to go here all the time, then we moved away. Tried to find a similar decent Thai place in our new city, with no luck. Finally moved back to Utah and we are here anytime we are in SLC. My Thai is the best Thai restaurant we have eaten at in America. Definitely comparable to any restaurant in Thailand. Dee and her daughter are amazing.

Lili M.

Yelp
We started with the Thai Teas. They were very very thick and sweet. Glad the waitress suggested water in the side. We ordered the fried egg rolls. They were great and perfectly crunchy. Hubby ordered the pineapple fried rice. It was soooooo goooood and spicy. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. I loved every bit of it, but got full about halfway into my meal. It was probably the Thai tea that filled us up. My niece had the pad Thai noodles which were good too.

Julia K.

Yelp
My favorite Thai place! Portions are big compared to the price. The owner is always super friendly. I always order the pineapple fried rice and pad

Emma L.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem run by a sweet old lady and her family. The interior might look a bit sparse, but the food is wholesome and high-quality for an excellent price. We started our order with Thai milk tea, and honestly, it was probably the best Thai milk tea I've ever had, even trumping other boba tea shops that just specialize in milk tea. The milk tea was sooo creamy and indulgent - I think they used real coconut milk to make it instead of the low-quality non-dairy creamers that other shops often use. It was a little too sweet for me, but I just diluted it with some water to strike the perfect balance of sweetness. Besides the tea, we also ordered the Pineapple Curry, Green Curry, and Vegetable Delight. The portion sizes were huge - each dish probably had enough food for at least 2 meals - and everything tasted deliciously authentic. For the amount of food you get, the price was super cheap. The owner also came out to personally serve us our food, and she was so motherly and nice. It was a joy to talk with her! If I ever visit Salt Lake City again, I will definitely try to come back to this place!

Geoff C.

Yelp
My Thai is indubitably my favorite Thai restaurant. However, there are a few things I'd like to elucidate from my last biased review. After eating here time and time again I've realized that the same standards of execution is nothing like when the actual owner is in the building. Which is disappointing when your order is incorrect or the quality standards were perfunctory. On top of that, it is hard for me to turn a blind eye to the sepulchral state of the restaurant itself. The booths are tattered and duct taped. The ambience is nonexistent and a flat screen tv is positioned toward the kitchen staff which begs the question, "are they working or relaxing"? Also, despite expanding the restaurant, the kitchen seems to be so small that two dining tables are being held hostage for cooking supply's and/or other purposes. All of these short comings make My Thai feel more like a home dining experience than a nice place to dine at. Which I'm very sad about.

Dennis B.

Yelp
The girl at the counter was friendly and very personable! As for the food, it was the worst Thai food I have ever tried to eat! The pineapple fried rice was tasteless! Very little pineapple and the chicken was dry and over cooked. The rice had no flavor at all. Now for the pad thai. Same over cooked chicken. The noodles were mushy and stuck together as if they were precooked. I was only able to eat a very small portion of each item. The rest was thrown away. Very disappointed especially for the poor quality for a high price. I hate to write this negative review. I ate there once before years ago and it was good.

Ellen M.

Yelp
We stopped here driving through Salt Lake City on a road trip and we're delighted by the great food and wonderful service! Well worth the visit, highly recommended.

Celina L.

Yelp
Great service and great food! The restaurant is also very clean every time I have gone. Recommend the phad thai

Erick F.

Yelp
Woah! Let's start this review by saying that I come from Texas, where everything is XTRA large for no reason at all- this includes portion sizes. We landed in Utah and looked up a spot to eat as we were HANGRY! My Thai Asian Cuisine was one of the top picks in the area. Let me just say that they have HUGE PORTIONS(which made my tummy smile). Second, the flavor(yummmmmmmmmmmm) Absolutely worth the traffic we encountered on the way here as well as on the way out. 10/10! Highly recommend.

Jazmin E.

Yelp
This place is ALWAYS packed for lunch. Lunch here is amazing, and such a treat. The portions are VERY large, and if there is something in the window you would like to sample, just ask to try it. The lunch combo specials are ridiculously cheap for the portions received. I got a mountain of fried rice, and was not expecting the portion to be so amazing. Keep in mind that there are a few changes due to Covid. They serve dine-in orders on paper plates, which really isn't a big deal given the situation. I try not to linger during lunch, so that I can give someone else the opportunity to sit and dine-in if they so choose. The options and menu here are simple and delicious. Not much to look at from the street, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food here. I will definitely be going back and trying more of their choices.

Lisa G.

Yelp
Such good food! Recommend the fresh spring rolls, chicken shrimp pad Thai make it mild or little spicy if you like hotness or go all out and try it hotter. They close early so if want dinner be there before 7pm. Lunchtime is crazy busy but it is worth it. Try it once and get hooked.

Rex M.

Yelp
Love this spot! Great food and service! Highly recommended this spot! I had the beef/shrimp fried rice and it was sooo good. Giant portions too!

Raymi G.

Yelp
I've been going here for years and I'm happy to give My Thai a positive review because they seriously have delicious food! My favorites are the Pad See Ew with Chicken and Yellow Curry with Beef.

Nick B.

Yelp
I don't usually leave reviews but I felt like this place really deserved it. After a few minutes of eating, the owner came by the table to ask how we liked the food. I thought that was very kind and you usually don't see that at places. The yellow curry and pad Thai were up there with some of the best I have ever had as well.

Tony V.

Yelp
This has been one of my go to spots for over 13years. I love the consistency, quality, and passion that goes into My Thai's cuisine. There lunch is the best value in town!

Dave H.

Yelp
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but my friends & I go all the time & we love it! We will go occasionally for dinner, but lunchtime here is better. Mostly because I can never decide what I want & during lunch you can pick two items plus rice or noodles for under $10. It's an amazing deal for amazing Thai food. The food is made every day with love by the owner who is from Thailand. My favorites are Thai Fried Rice with Chicken, Yellow Curry with Chicken, Beef Massaman and Chicken Panang.

Brady N.

Yelp
This place is legit. The lunch specials can't be beat for the price/quality. Sooooo good.

Laura B.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this little gem while on a business trip. I ordered pad Thai and Thai iced tea. Pretty good in my opinion. The people are friendly and my food was served in about 5 minutes!

Jenna D.

Yelp
Such incredible food. Their lunch special is an incredible deal and you get an abundance of food.

Kristy A.

Yelp
The service here left a lot to be desired. They said less than ten words to us. Not friendly or very helpful. The pork pad Thai was good, lots of flavor, sweet and full of peanuts. The chicken pineapple fried rice was okay... Somewhere between bland and decent. (And There was only one small chunk of pineapple in it... Literally.) Not planning a trip back anytime soon but, if I do it will definitely be for a to-go order of pork pad thai.

Kenzie K.

Yelp
If you are looking for a hot lunch that you don't have to wait for this is the place to go! Lots of options! Hot and ready! The cutest owner is from Thailand and the nicest lady.

R M.

Yelp
Spring roles were stuffed slim with indiscernible ingredients, was bland like a cracker. Pad Thai was too sweet. Noodle consistency was good and amount of meat was appropriate for the price. Shrimp Panang curry was the best part of the meal. Great flavor, shrimp was large. The rice was bland and tasted low quality. This is a order/pay at counter and food is brought to up you type establishment. Due to pricing, I would consider coming back to try the other curries.

Tinamarie S.

Yelp
I ordered shrimp Pad Thai to go extra spicy. Delicious and enough to feed 3 people! The owner was very nice and friendly! Wish I could eat here weekly!

Kati P.

Yelp
I had a craving for Thai food the other day and decided to come to My Thai because of the great reviews. They were right! I ate lunch here with two friends. The three of us ordered a plate of spring rolls and two entrees and shared the food between us. It was plenty of food, plus we had some leftovers (of the entrees, not the spring rolls). We ordered the yellow curry with chicken and the pad thai with pork. The curry was a little spicier than anticipated, but it tasted great. The pad thai was delicious too. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here next time I'm in the mood for Thai food.

Abe M.

Yelp
The woman was so sweet-- offered us free ice cream. Reminded me so much of my Chinese grandmother. The Pad Thai is second to none. Incredible food with service to match it. We'll be back.

Silvia C.

Yelp
One of the best go to restaurants for Thai food!! Everyone is really nice and friendly and the owner is one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. I always call ahead and my food is always ready when I arrive. I've been coming here for years and will continue coming to get my Thai food.

Lynndel F.

Yelp
I had vegan Pad Thai and vegan spring rolls. I really enjoyed the fresh taste of the spring rolls. You could taste the fresh basil. The Pad Thai was good but needed more veggies. I'll be back and ask for more veggies in my Pad Thai. But I'm going to make some vegan spring rolls tomorrow. I was left wanting more of the spring rolls. Even though I had four. Yay!!

Randy H.

Yelp
Chicken Pad Thai on the lunch menu is one of the best in the state... trust me. The smaller rice noodle makes a huge difference. Get mild and grab a bottle of Sambal (chili paste) and the dark sauce (I think it's hoisin sauce) both are located by the drinking fountain. 5 stars. I've been back as much as I possible can.
