Mycocoon Hostel Mykonos

Beautiful hostel, Helena at reception is very friendly and helpful, but the place needs important maintenance and deep cleaning in the rooms and showers. Location is good, between center and new port. Steps to go up thr thr beds not stable at times and very small.

Not bad for "cheap" at Mykonos The good? The upstairs pool/common area was great, mostly good vibes of other hostel go-ers, good place to meet people. Location is fantastic! €6 take away souvlaki close to the hostel, and 24 hour mini mart down stairs. Great sunset view! No need to pay €€ €€ for sunset bars, just buy a beer downstairs and sit up stairs to watch the sunset! The bad? No kitchen facilities. The only common area is the upstairs pool. Terribly designed hostel bed area and bathrooms. The lockers are also badly designed, no where to put luggage. We stayed in a double bed in the common dorm. The single beds looked tiny. Reports of the private rooms not having privacy when going to the bathroom. Some showers have exposed windows. The whole hostel is not great with "privacy". Hot water tap in bathroom sink comes out brown. 1 staff member was incredibly rude, the others were fine. Most toilets/showers don't lock. Honestly I thought the hostel would be worse given the reviews but it wasn't that bad, the location & pool overrides the bad things. Fyi you cannot drink the tap water on any of the islands so you will spend money purchasing bottles of water. DO NOT HIRE quad or scooter from next door, we got scammed, check google reviews!

The guy checking me in was really kind. Fortunately no one else showed up in the shared room. the hostel itself is fine clean and walking distance to town centre. Value for money leaves much to be desired, but i think that's more the island than the hotel. Mikonos, the progeny of fear and loathing and Starbucks. Both good in isolation, but horrific mixed. My favorite part about the island is watching it disappear over the horizon. Spending almost 100 squids on a shared on such a rock is wild! thrilled in my exit of the isle to filthier but cleaner realms.

For a room with 34 beds it was quite nice Very organised and quiet after 11pm to 8am. Do climbing classes before go in case you get the top beds 😄 The only issue was the shower and toilet door weren't closing. I would stay again for a couple of days to save money.

The location of the place was excellent, and there is a mini market downstairs. If you don't mind sharing the space with more people, it's a nice place to stay. However, it's hard to sleep if the other people are not respectful. I found it a bit expensive for September, considering that we shared the space with 50 people, but for Mykonos, it's a good price. The space was clean.

Infested with bed bugs. Luck of the draw with beds - some are tiny and very exposed. Showers and toilets are substandard, water is brown. Great location though and common area by the pool has an amazing view.

The only good thing about the place is the location. We took a double room for one night and were quite shocked about the kind of rooms we found. I have never been in such a claustrophobic place. Imagine walking 30m of corridors into a building without any windows finding your room at the end. Absolutely horrifying. The pictures advertised are completely misleading and the doors of the room were made of glass and not properly sealed at all. The room was clean though. Paying 192€ for a night in a place like this is ridiculous. Never again!

This is a great hostel. I totally recommend it. It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I saw some bad reviews that got me thinking but decided to go for it, the best decision. The staff was super nice, Helena in the front desk is great, she provided lots of recommendations and was always available to resolve issues. I stayed for 5 nights from June 15th of 2023 and would totally do it again. ||It is a hostel, not a hotel so you need to understand that all spaces are shared, which is normal for a hostel. I stayed in the big room, and can say beds are comfortable and there's enough storage space (I had a huge bag and it fitted in the locker beneath the bed). People at night were respectful with the noise (although I didn't spend a lot of time sleeping at night), and also during the day people don't make a lot of noise. The facilities are clean, and the place has all you need to relax and explore Mykonos. ||It is very well located, walking distance from the center where everything happens, restaurants, bars, etc... There is a store downstairs that sells all basics and a ATV rental company that has a discount for the hostel guests (highly recommend paying the deposit in cash, as the reimbursement takes a very long time, I am still waiting for mine).||The common space is a great place to meet friends, the pool is cool for refreshing and has spots for sun bathing. Overall, it was a great stay for the price, given hotels are super expensive in Mykonos and don't allow for meeting great people. 100% recommended
