Myeongdong Night Market

Visited around 10:45 PM on a Saturday, and the place was absolutely jam-packed with people. Most shops were still open, but many start closing by 11 PM. The street was lively, energetic, and full of food stalls. There’s a great variety of snacks and sweets to try. I had garlic bread, vegetable dumplings, and rice rolls — everything was really tasty and worth trying. If you want to enjoy all the shops without rushing, it’s best to go a bit earlier. 🍢✨

The place was very crowded and lively. Lots of street food, shopping and bright lights everywhere. A fun place to walk around and try the food from diff stalls, if you dont mind the crowds especially in the evening. Please do expect pricey food prices since its meant for a popular tourist area.

Wow what an exciting place! We actually got so overwhelmed with the amount of people, smells, sounds, foods, etc. that we had to go back again to get the full experience. I can see why it is such a well known and famous night market. So many different shops and stalls for a variety of Korean street food. They have a Heytea location which I can never resist when I see that logo. You have to go multiple times to be able to try all the street food offered. There is just so much! I love a good tornado potato with chili so definitely recommend that. I really just recommend walking through and soaking in the lively environment. It can get a little crazy with the crowds but nothing too aggressive. Just lots of sounds and smells going around that you cannot help but swivel your gaze in every direction. Visiting night markets are a staple of visiting this city!

Very good. Go late in the evening and it is 'jam packed' or go (say after 5:00) of you want a more leisurely look around. But either way it is definitely worth a visit. The street is lively and energetic with a terrific variety of snacks and sweets to try. Such good fun for the family.

vibrant night market 🌃 stalls open around 7pm but the later you arrive the better. majority are cash only too. many options from juices, mochi, tteok, meat skewers and seafood. my photos are of the marshmallow ice cream and a sweet potato. prices are okay, many shops and restaurants in the surrounding area making it a pleasant activity

The transformation of Myeongdong at night was spectacular and a must-see for foodies! The street truly came alive after dark. A massive highlight was the beef steak stall — watching them flame-grill the tender beef cubes right in front of you was incredible and they tasted delicious. It was quite touristy and crowded, but the neon lights and the aroma of sizzling food made for such a fun, dynamic vibe. You’ll definitely want to arrive with an empty stomach to fully enjoy the experience!

What an amazing night market. This area in myeongdong is already nice to go to during the day with all the stores and things to do in the area. At night it comes alive with food vendors and other vendors selling things. Lots of the vendors and stores will be open till midnight. Quite busy with lots of people around but never felt overcrowded. Even in the pouring rain it was busy out there. Our hotel was right in the middle of this area so it was really nice at anytime of the day to come out to this. Even though we were right outside it took awhile to see everything this area had to offer. Wish there were trash cans around though. Highly recommend a visit.

Famous night market in Seoul city. Happy to come here the past 3 night’s. Good weather cooling…later. In the night will be very cold. Many shops and tourists here. Many foods here… Must come place for all visitors coming to Seoul city. Very safe here too, we walked until late nights have no issues.
