I visited Myer yesterday with the intention of purchasing a kitchen item. There was a lady there named Rita, who introduced herself as a Retail Manager. The item I wanted to buy was part of a kitchen set, but one piece was missing. She offered only a small additional discount, which was fine, and I had no issue with that.
What shocked me was her behaviour. She spoke in a very loud, aggressive, and extremely rude tone—as if she was irritated or angry for no reason. Her attitude was unprofessional, hostile, and completely unacceptable, especially for someone representing Myer in the heart of the city.
Honestly, I was extremely disappointed. I have never expected this kind of behaviour from a Myer staff member. It felt like she lacked basic customer service standards and respect. I left the store genuinely surprised that someone with such poor manners and attitude is placed in a customer-facing role.
I just wanted to share my experience, because this interaction was truly unpleasant and far below the standard I expect from Myer.
