12 Bars and Restaurants With Music on the Menu

"The Myers Dinner Theater harkens back to a period where dinner and the theatre went hand-in-hand.  When you approach this quant theatre in the heart of Fountain County, you are first greeted by the sight of an antique ticket taker booth, manned by a mannequin. Inside is a unique and nostalgic atmosphere, complete with a small water wheel, creaky floors, tiled ceilings and the smell of home-cooked food. Guests enjoy the sights and sounds of Broadway classics while they enjoy their meals. Donna and Richard Myer have a long history with the theater. They operated dinner theaters in Danville, Illinois and in Waynetown, Indiana before settling down in Hillsboro. Now back in Richard Myer’s hometown, it’s no wonder attending the theater feels more like a homecoming. Each guest is greeted with a hug and the actors often line up after performances to thank guests for coming." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Caught the matinee of Oklahoma!, and it was well worth the trip. I was there last year and the food has improved greatly; I would say it is good. The show is filled with lifelong favorites, and the cast rendered them well. Had me singing alone and clapping with the ho-down. Do add this rapidly improving gem to your what-to-do list.

**Under new ownership, Meet Mark & Misty McGrady! They have taken the Myers Dinner Theater experience to a whole new level, even having menu items following the theme of what is being performed! They go out of their way to bring theater to you as if you were a part of the family. The new season looks exciting as you look at what they have brought in for shows and talent. A great entertainment value for the first-time theater goer or season ticket holder!** Celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary, we had a wonderful evening at Myers Dinner Theater! We saw "Shaboom Life Could Be A Dream" and, before hand, a delicious home cooked meal. The meal was salad / broccoli salad (family recipe), dinner roll, scalloped cabbage, corn, green beans, candied carrots, porcupine meatballs and bruschetta chicken. The show was full of music from the 50s with a cute storyline tying all the songs together. The cast was spot on, entertaining to their fullest. Great food and entertainment for a good price! We will be back soon!

The show was excellent! Logan Kirby is so talented! He moved through all the different music styles flawlessly. His band is some of very best. They were superb. The food was very, very good. Donna really makes one feel at home. The restrooms are a hoot!

Very nice dinner theater! You enter thru the general store, where there are restrooms and space to mingle. The general store has lovely trinkets and some ladies tops & hand bags to buy before and after the show. We went for an afternoon matinee and the buffet style food was very good. We had Swiss Steak & Chicken Breast. There was green beans with bacon, corn, mashed potatoes, and glazed carrots. Yummy! Myers is a small theater so every seat is a good seat. No being sat behind the pole or so far left or right you can't see the stage. The servers brought broccoli salad and lettuce salad to the table in bowls and we passed it down the table family style. Pitchers of ice water and iced tea were self poured on the tables, and fresh coffee and decaf was poured by the servers. Very impressed with the small town feel of Myers Dinner Theater! Went a second time and the menu was chicken and noodles, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and of course the warm dinner rolls.

As the chef, of course I think the food is great. However, the people are friendly, welcoming, and family oriented. The shows are well-planned and professional. My family and I have been going for years and will continue for many more years.
