We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Mykonos Essence hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a fantastic bathroom - although we did notice the bathroom door didn't have a lock, which might be a consideration for families with kids. The hotel's views were stunning, and the breakfast buffet offered a great selection of food. The reception staffs were very helpful and friendly. The location was ideal, just a short walk from Ornos Beach and the bus stand, making it easy to get around. One thing to note is that the road to the hotel is steep, which might be challenging for seniors or families with strollers. However, this is a common feature of many Mykonos hotels with great views. Overall, we highly recommend the Mykonos Essence for its excellent amenities and location.

There is a looonnnggg hill that you have to walk up to get to the hotel if you do not get transfer service from the ferry. The island is very small, quaint and cutesy. Very picturesque. The hotel has very nice views from the rooftop restaurant, but it does close at 5pm. They only serve pizza and toast after hours, so be sure to make eating accommodations before have. The rooms are modern and wifi is high speed. Very nice accommodations for the price.

Definitely not a 4 star, 2/3. For us.||Good location but steep hills to get back to hotel, not suitable for people with walking difficulties.| Beautiful views. Rooms clean and cleaned daily. We had room 206 was given a family room with 5 beds for 2 people in the basement area, no views only a white wall, but it did have a good sitting area with a large table. We did ask to move and was shown a room which was worse, what was annoying was that we asked for a few certain rooms and was told they are booked, no one was in those rooms all week we were there. The robes are not the best, a dirty gray colour and fraying. No Tea/ coffee facilities in room. No storage only one double wardrobe, no draws so a lot of clothing stayed in our suitcase.||On checking in we was told the half board three course meal is between 12-5 which we was not told before hand and it wasn’t made clear on the website, we did ask reception if that can be changed as we go out exploring everyday and don’t get back till after those times, he just said no, you need to take it up with your agent, you can have a pizza or toasted sandwich in the evening that’s all we offer, so beware when booking, as they are not prepared to help out at all.||Breakfast was very poor, good if you like eggs, cold boiled eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs and omelette are on offer with a Greek sausage and some fatty bacon. Tin peaches, watermelon and honeydew melon and yoghurt with the usual nuts & honey everyday and the usual bread and croissants and sliced packet ham and cheese. . This food never changed, we had to buy our own bananas, grapes apples and even a box of granola from the local supermarket which had a great choice. One morning we had to ask for cups, nuts, coffee machine needed water in and cutlery.||Buses run regularly from the beach for €2 great service into town or you can go by bus to Ana Mera Monastery ( lovely trip to do) from the old port in Mykonos town for €2. Such a great service. |Beach taxi from the local beach is €20 pp, great trip to do and see 5 other beaches or you can stay on till the last stop and wait 45 / 1 hr and return or just hop on hop off, second stop Platys Galios was a lovely little stop it’s the only one with a few shops bakers and restaurants. |Overall we had a lovely holiday on a beautiful small calming and peaceful island the only thing that let it done was the hotel food and staff. ||I would recommend a restaurant called To Apomero in Ornos, we ate there 4 times food was fresh and tasty, another great place was La Petite Taverne in Mykonos town. Also in Ornos Multiplex 5, was really unsure of going in but food was great.|In Mykonos town amounts the amazing little alleys there is Gioras bakery down a few steps very old husband & wife work in it’s over 400 yrs old and always been a bakers.||Wandering around Mykonos town is beautiful with all the quirky alleys and Little Venice and the windmills are a must to see.||Would I recommend this hotel ….No

What a gem of a hotel! A quiet hotel with the most beautiful view from our room . Breakfast was great ! The pool was so clean and lovely . The lady that cleaned our room irini could not do enough for us and the guy at reception panos he was helpful the only negative thing is the breakfast lady could maybe be more pleasant to customers.

This hotel was such a lovely place to stay in. The staff were lovely, the service was perfect and the stay was amazing. The beds are huge so sharing with my friend was extremely comfortable, the pool was lovely with sun the majority of the day. The breakfast was great and the menu throughout the day is delicious with a good variety of options. In terms of location, if you want to go to the beach it’s a 7min walk to a lovely beach with loungers you can rent but to Mykonos you need to walk to the main road a hail a cab. This was fine for us most evenings as we managed to get a cab every time. I can’t thank the staff enough for a wonderful experience!

Wow what a beautiful hotel we were given a wonderful room with amazing view to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the hotel were kind enough to dress the bed with rose 🌹 petals and a bottle of rose. The room was cleaned every day spotless by a lovely lady irini I would also like to mention the bar guy called thimidris. He has the most wonderful personality full of charm and asset to the hotel. Panos was also very helpful organising a taxi for us . I only have one slight negative thing to say and that was the lady at reception. She cane across a little grumpy 😠 at breakfast and a few other guests made the comment as well . Hopefully a little training and she will be as friendly polite And helpful as the others thanks again to lovely lady who cleaned the room and thinidri and panos a little gem if a hotel and one lady thing that pool was beautiful

We have been to lots of Greek islands and lots of hotels, this is one Hotel we would not recommend, mainly because of the food quality and the non- helpfullness of the staff||Hotel is a good location, with beautiful views, theres a few steep hills to get to the hotel so no good if you have walking difficulties.|On arrival we were told that the half Board option that we had booked for had to be taken between 12-5pm, we did explain that we go out during the day exploring and would like our main meal in the evening, as that is what I thought HB options are, Ive never known one to be during the day. We were told you can have a pizza or toasted sandwich in the evening, we said thats not good enough as we have paid for this but the receptionist said you have to take it up with your agent, there was no manager around and they did not want to help at all.||Our room was very spacious and clean, cleaned daily, it was a family room with a large DB bed and three singles, not sure why we were given such a large room for two people and its an adult only hotel, there was no view only a white wall, table and chairs on the patio looking onto the wall, it wasn't an issue as we are out all day but the evenings we would usually sit out with a nice view. There is a double wardrobe no other storage or draws so our things were left in our suitcases, ( I do like to unpack properly) The towels and robes are not what I would expect for a 4* they were grey and frayed esp the robes. We did ask to be moved to the rooms with a view but were told they are fully booked, the rooms did not get used the whole week we were there, as we did check, with other guests as everyone was very sociable and we were all complaining about the food quality. No tea/coffee facilities.||Breakfast was very poor, the receptionist and one kitchen staff do breakfast its buffet style, good if you like eggs, Cold boiled eggs, fried eggs, scrambled egg and omelettes everyday with fatty bacon and a sausage, Tin peaches and watermelon and Honeydew melon was the only fruit everyday with yoghurt, bread and croissants with jam and honey, there is a lovely shop in the town that we used to buy bananas, grapes etc even bought some granola.||Ornos town is lovely resort right on the sea, Sea taxis to do trips on to other beaches, very nice restaurants one in particular we visited 4 times 'To Apomero', great staff and food very good, Multi 5 Complex was a pleasant surprise too, In Mykonos town Le Petite Taverne was also lovely.||Buses in to Mykonos town from Ornos beach is 2 euros takes around 10 mins, greats service.|Overall our holiday was very nice and relaxing but I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located on a hill overlooking the beautiful port of Ornos. Wake up early in the morning for a fresh-air walk to Mykonos Town... you'll enjoy a breathtaking view! The hotel staff is exceptional... Katerina and Panagiotis will make you feel truly at home! The cleanliness of the rooms and breakfast on the terrace are the highlights of this hotel! Recommended ❤️
